I love the idea, but I would think that would be a major pain in the ass.
Never even thought about that. I guess taking some off wouldn't be much of a problem. Adding onto the vinyl isn't a good idea I take it....? Worse comes to worse I guess I could just give them permission or ask to allow me to cut out the spot to add more weights.

@Scalded Dog
The yellow spokes definitely look better than all black. Good job!

That's very cool and subtle.

Good luck keeping 'em clean...

I am wondering, why not Plast-dip instead of vinyl?

There is no color match to IOM of plasti dip. Nothing even close. Plus the finish on the vinyl is way smoother and nice and shiny.

I really like this idea and I may try it myself (when I buy a camaro) Probably better to do it early before I dirty the wheels.

A good tire shop will have a quality Rim Clamp machine that can grab the outer portion of the backside of the wheel therefore not even touching your vinyl!!!

I like the idea in theory, and think you did a solid job of applying the vinyl. The problem for me is that it seems like a lot of work, and if I were not looking for it, I don't think it stands out enough for me to see it.

Does it throw off the wheel balance at all?

Thanks!

I wished it stood out a bit more too but still satisfied with the outcome. Once you get the hang of it and a decent game plan it's not that tough a job. Maybe just a bit time consuming.

The vinyl doesn't weigh very much. Drove the car a bit today and was straight as an arrow still.
