been there done that with and without VTC connected, they clear and come right back, though not always all at one time. will see in the morning after battery disconnect. reduced power mode keeps coming back too

If you're getting all the same codes without the VTC installed then take it to the dealer. You may have a bad APS (accelerator pedal sensor) or TBS (throttle body sensor) or both.

battery connected with no VTC, ignition ON engine OFF, codes
P16A0 ?
acc pedal D 19.6%
acc pedal E 9.8%
command TAC 22.4
P0174 system too lean bank 2
P0102 Mass or volume airflow circuit low input
P2535 Ignition 1 Switch Circuit High Voltage (PCM)
clear codes successful but they return immediately
start engine, clear codes and they return over and over
dash readout service stabiltrak & reduced engine power also come back after code clear.
Install VTC and same as above all over no difference.

removing VTC to avoid warranty hassle and taking to dealer

VTC setup was done each time
pedal position physical 0% VTC voltage 0.5
pedal position physical 100% VTC voltage 2.1
It is this voltage 2.1 each of the last 4 times I thought was 5 not 2.1 @ 100%

How are you getting the VTC voltage reading? What other mods do ou have?

during the setup process of VTC 0% pedal starts with 0.5 volt, then as you press it to the floor it increases in this case 2.1 volt, but I think it was 4.?? the first time after which it worked so well ( for a week ).

no other mods

I would ask Vitesse what the voltage readings should be during the install. I did mine about 7/8 mos ago (just once) and don't recall what the readings showed.

these are the codes
P16A0 ?
P0113-intake air temp sensor high voltage
P0102 Mass air flow sensor low frequency
P00F4 ?
P0097 IAT sensor 2 circuit low bank 1
P2127 Acc pedal position sensor 2 low voltage
P2122 Acc pedal position sensor 1 low voltage

I now have the reduced power, CEL, rough idle with or without VTC connected.

what I have done.
-disconnected throttle body connecter and checked wires are secure
-gave the Mass air flow sensor a wipe with clean micro cloth
-removed butterfly assemble and wiped. operated freely but wondered why it was not fully closed.
-pulled fuses for ecm & tcm
Now it is all back together and the battery is disconnected for overnight

any suggestions?
With all the codes that would not have anything to do with the VTC I would imagine you have another problem. You should never wipe your MAF sensor, the wires are delicate and you can damage them, soak it with MAF cleaner and let it dry before reinstalling it. The Throttle body should not go completely closed. The engine needs to get some air to start and idle.
It almost sounds like a low voltage issue. Something could be dragging your voltage down.

good info there thanks. I am leaning towards the gas pedal sensor based on what Ahmed said and what I have found with my searches. The question remains, assuming it will be the pedal sensor, would it have failed anyway. The VTC does directly connect into it. does a constant higher voltage short out the sensor, should not, but if defective to start perhaps it speeds up the process.

on setup 0% pedal is 0.5 volt, I had 2.1 @ 100% pedal. Is that correct or should it have been close to 5 volts
Ahmed @ Vitesse says;
No, for newer models, we've seen the 2.1 volts. That is normal.

I have had the TC since December last year. Worked very well on 9 until April. For several weeks I had the REP message and it was the TC for sure. It usually started after any bump. Always the throttle position sensor CEL code. I fix it with a mixture of recalibrating, reseting, removing, sp0, and driving without it hooked up. I did trigger it one day by bumping the big black box softly but on purpose. Sent the codes off instantly. I love it but it is a pain.

I also have issues with it working well (no cels and proper feel) but if I bump eco mode my engine goes to 3500rpms even when on the brakes. I do not use eco mode but still a scary safety issue.

That just sounds like loose connections or a bad soldering job. If you have an electrician friend, they can probably fix it.

I had the same exact issues, I have a ported throttle body, new exhaust and a CAI Intake. My car is still under bumper to bumper warranty (2014 V6) and I took it in to the dealership. After messing with it for 2 days their conclusion was the throttle control. After leaving it off for ~2 weeks I haven't had any issues. I will try to reconnect it and re-program the VTC to see if it works again . Fingers crossed because I actually like the VTC.
