I like how Camaros look fast when they're not even moving. That's one thing that this Charger doesn't do. That's kind of fun in itself, but it's hardly a sleeper, so doesn't really work in that sense. Plus, I'm a huge fan of the LS series engine. I use a 2004 6.0l dumbed down as my main demo derby engine. Thing is a beast, and just won't quit.

I own a 2011 Camaro. If I had kids i would not have bought it because there is no leg room in the back. Some times I do have my grand daughters with me. I have the youngest on my side because she needs less leg room. I still have to move my seat forward so she does not have turn her feet sideways. Since the passenger seat is empty. I can move the passenger seat forward for my 12 year old.
The one that I bought a Camaro was the hud. If the Mustang or challenger it I might bought have one of them.
Guess what we use if they 4 or 5 going to in the car? we take my daughter Toyota Prius.

I wish you the best of everything with your new powered muscle car. I think they are a good looking car in my opinion. But I'm strictly a Chevy person own 5 of them all Chevy. But to me a 4 door with 700 HP definitely is not a family car but that's just me. No insults to what you like it's your money. Have fun with the ride & be [SAFE].

Op, you gotta know you would get some rubbing both ways. I'm sure it's open arms on the Mustang forum! I was going to join a Mustang forum just to try and give some balance, but I see how some of them treat Camaro's and I'm not going to go thru that. It's good to have different cars for different things. My car is my DD and suits my needs 100%. Don't care about the back seat, love the HUD, looks, and interior! I like GM and FORD, everyone else, meh...

Ragnar I agree, I totally get that there'll be some rubbing. Rubbing is racing, but to say I'm fishing and a Dodge sales exec..... Come on man...that's retarded. I love all fast cars, I don't care who makes it. Except import tuner guys. Can't wrap my head around that. But hey, to each their own. I think fast cars should roar, not buzz. Anything that does roar, I'm into it, I don't care who makes it. I've never bought into the brand loyalty thing. I'm more loyal to my dollar than to some corporation that I am a drop in the bucket to. But nothing wrong with people that are loyal. I have favourite sports teams too.

Nice car. I would love to have a family sedan like that.
How do the kids feel? Do they know they are in one of the coolest cars that will go down in history?

Yep that "4-door "family car" grocery-getter." will kick you ass in the quarter mile. You need to take a 100 mile trip with me in the back seat driver side. You will have about 4 inches of leg room.
Like I said in a previous post if I had kids I would not bought a Camaro. it would have been a Mustang or challenger. If their are 3 or more grown ups we take my daughter Toyota Prius because the Camaro has no leg room.
I don know why they claim the Camaro has room for 5. It may be so if the 3 in the back has no legs.

RockSmasher, Congrats on the ride. Looks really good. I still remember being at Carlisle when they brought out the Hellcat Charger for the first time. Was quite something.

Best of luck with it.

Congrats on your buy. They are a nice car. The man thing I went with a Camaro because I am a gm retiree and the hud. The mustang and challengers it have them.
You are right about the rear seat leg room. there is not enough space. If I had kids I would not have bought Camaro.

My boy is 5, and he likes anything loud and fast that can do a burnout, and my daughter is 2, so she doesn't give a shizz lol.

Unfortunately no, the CTS-V wasn't. I have a horror story with a previous Escalade I had that really soured me on the brand.

For people just tuning in. Read the whole OP please.

Excerpt:

"The point of this post is I really can't believe how much value someone can get with the 1LE Camaro. It seems very reasonably priced for a lot of car."
