Don't wash the car as much as you want..... But for sh!ts sake, wash and claybar it soon otherwise you're just causing damage to the vehicle.
What exactly is clay bar?

A car clay bar is an essential car detailing tool that targets the common enemy of every car finish, Rail dust and pollution that causes automotive paint contamination. It relentlessly pursues your car from the second it leaves the factory until your car meets its ultimate demise. When contaminants get a solid grip on your car's paint, washing alone may not be enough to remove them. Here's a link on more information on claying : http://www.properautocare.com/creatsmootpa.html

Yes ,you are crazy. Do you have so little faith in the quality of your ride that your think it will fall apart or the paint will wash off? If I were you I would keep it under glass and not even drive it. You know, there are way more things than water that can do a lot more damage in the world. ( theft, crash, door dings, fade, seat rips, spills, tree sap , birds, bugs, deer, lions, tigers, bears ,a bad song on the radio, putting gas in, night, day, dogs, cats, tar, line paint, stone chips, shopping carts, old ladies with walkers, kids on bikes) It's a crazy world. I don't think you should chance it.

It's so hard to believe that people actually think these cars are so fragile. I'm surprised they even drive them at all. You know, with the air whipping around the car while it's moving, it's gotta be bad for it... Geez !

No I think the Clay Bar is good but not on this car....The Paint is so smooth liike a new born.I bought it for the camaro but only used it on the Tahoe only and looks brand new again....But the in my opinon it does not need it its the best Paint job of any car I have ever owned. So I will keep useing it and wipe it down every time it only takes like 15 mins and its never dirty when i put the cover on it.

ok ok ok took the car to the dealer to get the oil changed and they washed it!!!! Damit i still havent washed it myself maybe next week ....And about the clay bar just may do this anyways because of the brake dust was horrible the first 1500 miles and i think I would feel a little better makeing sure i didnt really rub into the paint....Still looks awesome though!!!

Yup, got her home (after a looong drive), 1 wash, clay bar, 2nd wash, 3 coats Zaino. I let her stay that way almost 2 weeks - no cover, and outside :( Saturday, washed her, another coat of wax. Yesterday my Ca Cover Finally came in! So, dusted her, Z6 all over, then covered her Happy again!

She already has rock dings in the front and the hood as well as one on the lower passenger door. Hey, she is meant to be driven and stuff is gonna happen!

Still love her though!!
