They are ceramic coated steel, this coating is said to keep underhood temps down and also helps to preserve the metal. I dont know how long they will last.

I still have my GMPP shorties on order, does anyone know if we can expect the same gains from those? The GMPP ones don't void the warranty. do these aftermarket ones?

I would like to see some actually before and after dyno number from Camaro owners (not advertised number by the company that sells them).

If they really do make 18 hp, 35 lb ft of torque (no tuning) on a dyno I'll be impressed.

I'm wondering about the GMPP headers also. From the pictures I"ve seen they don't even look like headers.

No they don't look like the traditional header, but it seems as though they'd be functional. Although i'm not sure how the internal tubes look like hopefully they've done some R&D to figure out how to make each bank flow equally. I just don't like the idea of collector into bottle neck, but if it works... it works
Do the aftermarket shorties void the warranty?

It actually almost looks like the tubes aren't all equal length...

As far as sound it is a little louder at idle but I can really hear a differerce when driving under load. I am very happy with the new sound and will keep the rest of the exaust stock. I feel these headers were worth every cent. I will now attempt to post some pics.

video/sound clip? what other things do you have done to the car?

I will try and post a sound clip,as far as other mods my engine other than the headers is stock. My next mod will probably be the 25% underdrive crank pulley and then a cold air intake.

I have a set of thorley mid lengths on my ram and after 3 years or so the ceramic coating was gone. The engine compartment in my truck is a lot more open than in a car, that may have extended the life of the coating by having more open air surrounding them. I would go with SS, or if you don't mind pulling your headers off and on every few years just get a can of ceramic paint and recoat the headers.

I would like to see a dyno sheet on the performance gains of these shorties. Over the stock manifold.
