Do you notice the converter much in street driving?
It drives really nice. It's a 10" Ted had built and I expressed I wanted it to drive close to stock(tight) but really hit @WOT

Density altitude

It's a combination of elevation, humidity, barometric pressure, and temperature.

Density altitude is pressure altitude corrected for nonstandard temperature. As temperature and altitude increase, air density decreases.

In our cars less dense air commands less fuel, hence less power at combustion and conversely heavy dense air commands more fuel for combustion creating more power. DA is generally stated in feet of altitude compared to sea level which is 0. The lower the number for racing is always better.

As an example, I live at 2600 feet above sea level and on hot summer days the DA will reach 5500 feet. You can also see minus DA but where I live we believe those days are like unicorns...lol.

So if I'm running on a really hot 90 plus degree day does our car's compensate the air fuel mixture because the air density is different than on a 80 degree day? Also if so does having a supercharger or TT does the tune in the car make adjustments for DA changes?

DA determines the max power any engine combination can make.

Does not matter if its a Briggs and Stratton 1 hp or a top fuel dragster or anything in between.

If you have good DA you make good power for your combination, if you have bad DA you make less power.

Ted.
