yea but how are they going to incorperate him becoming a black bird. all the ones I know about are in cali in a hanger or on display at AF bases and air parks. I just like a little more realism in my stories. lol.

Also there's enough evidence to say that the aurora does exsist and more people know about it then you think, especially the type of person to see this movie. It's been in media since the 80's. lol. and I believe in 2003 there was this guy that showed a picture of the US with a plane contrail from what appears to be nevada all the way to like iceland. so yea. . .still think he should be the aurora. def not a blackbird. hell make him a TU-160 black jack for crying out loud. at least it's a jet that's in use today.

how are they going to incorporate him? i doubt he would be frozen in ice (megatron already did that...lol) i would imagine that he comes on his own from a diff sector of the universe than the other tfs that come to join the fight, starts out on the side of SS (due to a possible back story friendship) then switches to the Autobots, IF he switches at all. but realism???? this is a story about advanced robotic beings from outerspace that can turn into vehicles by scanning them. how real do you want it? lol

as far as how they could scan the acft to use, same way they did in the first one, he might swing by the space museum in la that has one on display, or does research thru our internet and finds the location of one.

i know the evidence is there that the aurora exists, i know it exists, a lot of people do, but those who actually care about its technical prowess and abilities are dwarfed by the number of "regular" folks out there who might have read about it once, but are too worried about tonights episode of "grey's anatomy" to care.

What does the aurora look like? Also, do you think Even Bay could get an aurora to film with? I think he was able to get the blackbird because it's not in operation anymore and the U.S. feels it's not under any secrecy anymore.

I personally love the look of the blackbird. Brings back memories of the '88 Reno Air Races (I theoretically was 4 and flew by myself to meet my father there. Told the people I was seven. =)

The look of the Aurora (should it exist as something by that name and not merely a project code name which may or may not have been abandoned) is completely up for speculation, as is its performance.

And I'm not sure if anyone saw the first movie, but I think having an ACTUAL anything to film is not really necessary...

They could pull it out of NASA storage, from a space center somewhere, from the Air and Space museum in DC...who knows.

Bottom line: the SR-71 is the greatest jet aircraft ever, hands down a sexy, badass airplane.

The earlier you all go, the better...remember...the first time in YEARS I've been in a movie theater and people were CHEERING!!! God, I can't wait!

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. I went with my fiance and my bro on the first night it opened. There were guys that worked at the theatre dressed up like SOCCENT air force guys giving away T-shirts and stuff before the movie started. I remember the scene where the new Camaro came in the tunnel and the ENTIRE theatre started yelling and cheering. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

Getting an Aurora would be slightly harder than getting a 2023 Camaro SS, production version. As for what it looks like, well not too many people know (assuming it exists, which it most likely does -monster contrails, unexplained sonic booms, mention in a pentagon budget, etc). But it is said to have a delta wing configuration and use either ramjet or scramjet engines and travel at hypersonic speeds. Supposedly there were two stupidly fast aircraft flying out of Groom lake in the 90's. One was fighter sized, the other was much larger. The big one is thought to be a bomber.

what I meant by realism in this movie is. They've set a certain mood/theme for physics in the movie. and these "robots" are using cars, trucks, jets, etc (except megatron) to hide in front of everyone. an SR-71 flying around is going to be kinda hard to believe for people that follow planes. hell I picked apart the military side of things in the last movie. but I still found it a good movie. no one in hollywood gets the military stuff completely right. but oh well. even with them using the black bird it won't keep me from seeing the movie and loving it. the story would though.

the rims just look chromed to me. not really anything new other then the chrome. but I'll have to see even better pics and more angles before I decided if I like it or not.
