I don't have a Vararam yet, but heavily leaning that way.
I switched from the Cold Air Inductions CAI to the R2C. The Dyno thread that Ted posted is very informative but not the end all. With my tune & Mods the car made 5HP more with the R2C. For the most part all quality CAI's are close in gained HP (none will give you an extra 25-30 HP).
This topic has been beat to death on this forum and it comes down to individual preference. As long as the OP doesn't get some off brand crap off eBay, he should be in good shape.

Bottom line; k&n, roto fab and cai are all good. SLP and Hennessey aren't bad either, they may require tunes though.
Thank you for the vote of confidence! We put a lot of time and thought into our product's fit and finish, as well as the ease of installation. It's always nice to hear from customers who notice and appreciate it.

I really appreciate all the input, Y'all!

Now that I have looked at it, the GM Z/28 unit looks like my first choice. I read that it comes with a better MAF sensor too, that will work better with additional mods.

I wonder if I can just keep it there when I put in the LS7 engine?

Cheers!

No problem! I was very impressed with my zl1 intake and washer relocation kit. For the money everything was well made, finish was nice, fitment was near OEM, packing was superb and instructions were very descriptive.

Jared at JDP Motorsports, whom I purchased the product from, was also very good to deal with.
