Let us know how the cabin "noise" ends up cuz I will be getting my Camaro in 2 weeks.
I got the insulating pad from a Chev. Dealer: He used it to wrap the 19" polished rims & tires I bought from him.

OK... I installed the exhaust & only put 10 miles on it, so I this is a VERY brief take on it............Execpt for the 0-60mph results, which is NOT brief.....
#1... It was very easy to install. One side centered great, the other is not perfectly centered, I will try to bend the hangers to try to get it centered better. (no big deal)
#2...It's nice & loud like I wanted.
#3...There is some drone over 2K rpm's ( i need to do more driving for a better take on that. )
I will post more in about a wk. or so when I have driven it more.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK today is great weather to make some 0-60mph runs!
These are the results after the new MRT exhaust:

Temp. 54-55 degs. = VERY GOOD
Humidity 53-55 % = GOOD
Barometric pres. 30.19 = VERY GOOD
Elevation app. 350 ft.
Did four 0-60mph runs today: 5.31, 5.18, 5.17 & 5.13 = my best ever.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the orig.exhaust:... My prior four 0-60 runs were : 5.30, 5.29, 5.26 & 5.23 But with those runs the Bar. pres. was 30.02, tem. & hum. about the same.... SO, how much did the exhaust help ?
I can't say 100% because of the diff. bar.pres.,but maybe as much as .10 sec.(which is the diff. on the best 2 runs)
As far as HP gain, ...... (on the four runs) It showed +2 on the slowest run to +10 on the fastest run. That is not 100% correct because the Bar.Pres. was different. So I will do more runs when I can get ALL weather conditions the SAME.

Very cool! Putting some miles on the pipes definitely improved the sound in my opinion...

I'll use an air driven cut off wheel in a dye grinder.

Just as long as you make only one STRAIGHT cut. In case you ever want to put back the orig. exhaust, like to trade in the car some day. ( most buyers will not want a loud exhaust like we do.)
Then you can put it back with only one 2 1/4" Butt type strap clamp.

I've been an aircraft mechanic for 35 years so it shouldn't be a problem. Using a "ziz" wheel makes such a thin cut, the exhaust can be welded back when the time comes....

I'm curious, why are you guys talking about sawing off your factory mufflers? Per the product description "Easy, direct bolt-on installation". I'm guessing that the factory mufflers are not bolted on?
I'm interesting in purchasing this kit, but I'm not sure what's going to be involved for installation.
