Well, I pulled the trigger and took ownership of my 2014 2ss/rs man-tran with the npp exhaust!! Let me say, I'm very pleased with my purchase and I should've got this bad boy long time ago, but at the time of purchasing my v6, I was saving up to buy my new home. Fast forward a few years. House bought and now was the time to own my dream ride. Exhaust note and low end torque was the deal breaker!! The v6 was cool, but the Ls3 is a beast!!! I'm still grinning ear to ear. Thank you all for your input. Much appreciated!!

Congrats! There are relatively few 2014-15 SS with manual transmissions. I looked for quite a while and ended up finding one more than 250 miles away from where I live. Lot's of automatics (no offense, I do love them too), but very few manuals. Every time I drive it I have a smile.

Glad you found what you were looking for. For me the V8 was not just about the power, it was about the sound. My 2ss has the quad exhaust, and no matter how I'm feeling, when I start that beast up, I get a smile on my face. I adore the manual transmission as well. Fierce in 1st gear, and there is a demon who lives in 2nd.

A buddy of mine showed up in his '14 6 cylinder and gave me the usual spiel "Its got more power than I need--Good on gas" etc.
I took him for a spin in my LT'd and cammed car----He's on the way to Pat O'Brien Chevrolet Right Now !!!!!

CONGRATS! I know the feeling...... when I was thinking about trading in the 1LT and went to test drive an SS it was pretty much a done deal as soon as I turned the key on the LS3...... that sound

My 2017 50th Anniversary SS Convertible is on order. I'm trading my V6 2014 Convertible. Instead of modding my V6 I'm just trading up. Supposedly the Convertible will be a very limited edition car.

I bought my 15 1LS last June. About 3 months after bought it I started wondering how much difference was between the 6 and 8. I mean the 6 has 323 horses there can't be THAT much difference.

I just picked up a 16 1SS Friday. And the best way to describe the difference would be that ((I'm of course still in the break-in period. 170 miles as of now.)) The most I've pushed the pedal down is maybe half way, if that. I've only gone up to 4100 rpms and only done that in the first 2 gears. With just doing that I would ABSOLUTLY smoke my 15 1LS.

The way it pushes u back in the seat at even the slightest throttle pressure is amazing.

The ride is stiffer but still very comfortable. I was shocked really. I don't have mag ride so it's just the normal suspension.

I've read countless posts and threads on how different they are, but reading and actually feeling the difference is huge.

A smile just appears on ur face.

Drove a zl1, a v6 and the modified ss rs that we finally bought all in the same day. The latter obviously smoked the v6 for power and sound. It was also noticeably faster than the zl1. That and the price was 25k less. No brainer for us

I daily drive my SS! Why buy a ride, if you don't drive it. When the snow season arrives, it will become my garage Queen lol.
