So far, I've had no issues with the rotors.

I'm experiencing heat soak right now and I want to get rid of it. Nothing feels worse that loss of power and having to driving normal until temps are normal again.

Also, what are normal oil temps supposed to be when tracking your ZL1's?
expect oil temps to reach 300-310 degrees on a road course like VIR

I was not as lucky with the rotors. I guess this is what you get with such a heavy car.

Z06 Bryan, can you point out what's wrong with your rotor?

hot spots aren't so bad...unless there are a bunch of micro cracks associated with them. A track compound pad can help but, as stated, the weight of the car makes it hard on rotors.

They were getting pretty noisy. They would roar when braking very hard at all.
I am actually waiting on the pads to arrive so I can put it back together. I had the rotors turned and they came out OK. But the machine shop was not optimistic when they first looked at them.

That's good to know. Thanks.

What about oil pressure? I've noticed my pressure increasing every time I accelerate heavily. Is that normal, or do I have too much oil? I try to keep an eye on my vitals when I'm at a stop, or when I'm on long straights where I have the opportunity to give them a quick glance. Anything else I should be keeping an eye on engine wise?

You are building more RPM'S, which pushes the pump faster which builds more pressure because the engine needs more oil faster..

No, they are just stock rotors

I've seen some fine cracking of the rotor face, but nothing deep enough to catch a fingernail. Here is the last set that came off the car:

I haven't had any issues with run-out, either.
