When I walked up, the guy started complimenting me on the car and seemed Hyped (unnaturally). The guy looked like he was high or something and had been most of his life. Next thing I know, the guy walks around and grabbs a camera out of his car and asks if his daughter could "Lean" on my car a little. I said no, and don't touch it either. Go ahead & take your pic with your daughter standing in front of the car, but we have to go. Both of us were totally creeped-out.

Aside from that, all experiences have been great! Seems 2010 Camaro Owners are an "Elite Club". Seems that all 2010 Camaros that pass each other either, wave, honk or pull over & chit-chat. I get this from Corvette and Challenger owners too. So much fun!

Judging by appearances

Granted, I have met my share of annoying gabbers.

If you notice someone following you, just keep driving right past your house. I'm sure there are other cops on this site that will agree with me on this. Not trying to make you paranoid, just looking out for ya!!

100% AGREED!!!...it is not worth taking any chances...I would rather be a bit "paranoid", than a bit "assaulted", or worse...

BTW, thanks for looking out for "this girl here"...

I just watched the Motorweek episode again (had it taped) and they can't say enough about this car in performance, and especially design. It's the design that catches people's attention first, and it's obvious in reactions that occur on the road, like in Donna's story. I'm sure we've all had a similar situation happen.

I could help myself but when I read that she left them in the dust .
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!

( to the design team)
I knew all you guys would get a kick out of my story, especially the "eat my dust" part...

Thanks for sharing your story Donna. Always great to hear the good stuff, and no one can ever accuse you of driving that car without a big !

toeter,
If as an officer expecting everything has an "evil" side keeps you safe out there, by all means stick with it.

What PERMAGRIN???!!!... .............lol.............

Who, me????!!!!....do ya think I have the biggest PERMAGRIN on this forum???!!!...

I still cannot believe the excitement I get from this car, even after 4 months of blissfully, ecstatic, happy miles of driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!...it just never 'gets old' to 'this girl here'......

This Camaro, and the Camaro5 forum, and all the great friends I've made here, have changed my life for the better...thanks to this 'magic' car...

I wish I could 'bottle' the joy and elation this Camaro has brought to me...it was a 30th anniversary present that my husband and I bought for each other, but I get to be the primary driver during the week, and I let the hubby drive it most of the weekend...it's only fair, as he is the one that keeps it clean and shiny inside and outside...

Always lookin out for ya! Didn't mean to rain on your parade and it was a great story!! Just wanted to show the other side of the story and the different possibilities. It was not too long ago that we had a couple followed home in their Camaro, when they got out, they were carjacked at gunpoint and the car was taken. As I talked to them it was obvious that they were devistated that the car was taken, but happy that nothing else happened. If you are being followed at anytime, go to a well lit area with lots of people. If they want to see the car, they can do it there, not at your house!! Take care of yourself and enjoy your new ride!!

Adding to the stories of “creepy things” and the overwhelming attention Camaros have lately. An hour before sunrise I was driving on the Taconic highway at normal speed (Usual 20-25 over the speed limit, but not this nite) when I noticed a Smokey behind me with the head lights off and only the auxiliary. I pulled over to the right lane to let him pass and he continued to fallow me towards my exit. At the light exchange he turns on the light-show and I pulled over the shoulder. During the routine he tells me that he was fallowing me for miles, waiting to for me to punch it over the limit. Adding on “how much he would love to pull over a speeding Camaro” and submitted to YOU-TUBES. As he walks through my Camaro and comments on it’s fine design, he tells me how much he would love to own one and drives off with no clue on why he pulled me over. I pinched myself a couple of times to make sure my sleep deprivation didn’t get the best of me. Now I drive on a different route.
