1. The tire shop was closed Sat/Sun, I needed my vehicle this weekend.
2. The tire shop is in Pomona, I live in Riverside. I would have needed a tow truck to haul it back to Pomona, or remove the tire myself, leave my car on jackstands, and drive the tire back to Pomona today, Monday.
3. Don't trust them no more. Didn't want to risk another botched job.

Wouldn't have even considered going to them if not for them already doing our company vehicles. Previous installs (NT05's) went through the local Firestone.

They kept telling me they were booked solid so I decided to take it to F&H.

Not sure if I have a bigger issue with my TPMS yet or not. When I cleaned my TB, I disconnected the battery and when I connected the battery, none of my tire pressures were coming up and the TPMS light came on. I then tried to reprogram them myself through the reprogram process mentioned by others here. Nothing was happening, so I bought an 80 dollar reprogram device and I still could not get them to sync. So when I went in for these new tires I asked them to do it, and they couldn't either so I had the plan to go see the dealer right after the install of my new tires.
So, are you the original owner and/or do you have the original wheels and sensors? I almost made the mistake of buying new TPMS from a shop that uses sensors that require a unique non-OEM programming tool. After a bit of research, I realized this and had the tires and sensors replaced by a Chevy dealer.

I wasn't doubting you, just found it odd. I agree why you went since the company went there, you'd think there would be a trust... My company has Evans do all their tires for all the fleet trucks, when I tried them, their 'specials' cost more than the majority of the other guys' regular prices..

This has been my car all of its life. I have the original wheels and the car still has the original sensors. I’ve read that they should be good for a long time and if they do go out, just replace the battery? Not sure how accurate that is…

The Sensors were working fine prior to me disconnecting the battery a few weeks ago when working on my TB (and the VMAX install that didn’t go well – got my money back btw, it was indeed defective). Some time in between I had my BCM (Body Control Module) replaced due to some lighting issues I was having. I wonder if the reason I can’t reprogram could have something to do with the new BCM installed? Not sure… for the life of me I can’t get the TPMS re-programmed.

The shop didn’t replace any of my sensors that I know of (there would have been a charge)… but thanks for the heads up. This will definitely be a job for the service dept.

No problem... I just too found it odd that they didn't open on the weekends.

It cost 90 to install both, balance etc. at this shop. I can't recall how much Firestone charged me 2yrs ago.

Well, this had me learning a bit more about TPMS...unfortunately at you expense, I suppose. But that's what these forums are for. Glad you at least got the buck fiddy from them.

BTW, No tire yet. Lots of bad weather delaying the shipment. Will not get installed until tomorrow now. Man, amazing how much time is wasted when a shop don't do their job right..........

Dang Spec, sorry to hear bud, that blows. At least they forked up $150, that's still a win! I hope everything else goes well for you!
