My current plan is that I am going to experiment with the car for about another week, to see if I can isolate the harmonic drone. I will then bring it back to the dealership and take a technician for a ride so that he/she can hear what we're taking about. If it runs its normal course I'll call customer service when they shrugged their shoulders. I just can't believe more people are not having this problem. There was another post within Camaro05 regarding exhaust drone, and changing the exhaust out, but I think this is different.

To all of you who may have the same issue I've had with my Camaro, the harmonic noise/vibration problem has been resolved.

Yesterday, at Shaheen Chevrolet in Lansing, MI, after being authorized by General Motors to do so, my drive shaft assembly was replaced with a new one. I am happy to report that after thorough road testing, all harmonic noise and vibration are gone!

Thank you to Shaheen Chevrolet service department and GM customer service for helping to resolve this issue.

It's at it's peak level at 67 mph. I took it to the dealership last week and they road tested it and came back saying they heard the noise and would check it out further this week. We also drove 2 other similar cars on the lot, one was an RS and one was identical to mine. The RS had the same noise but was less noticable because the summer tires are noisier than the 19" P Zero Nero. The Camaro identical to mine was actually worse and through a wider speed range.

When I took the car back to the dealership yesterday, they said no abnormal noise found, normal condition. Also, the contacted the technical assistance center who also said it's a normal condition.

Maybe this is a problem only with V6 manuals, I don't know, but I have now driven 3 different V6 manual Camaros all with the same problem in varying degrees.

I think the answers I was given are total BS. Anyone else have an opinion?

maybe you can explain harmonic sound a little bitter or a sound clip? because mines fine... i don't hear anything weird at those speeds... does it matter which gear you are in? all i hear at those speeds is the nice low tone grumble
