Dealers in the north east routinely sell these things for $2000 below employee price. If you hit a certain volume goal the manufacturer can kick back thousands of dollars per vehicle sold, making it a wash if not a small profit (not including the actual back end profit on each deal).

As for the ZL1, I likely won't have inventory of one this fall when tags come out anyway (if they even do 20% again this year).

You are also in San Diego, not Rochester, NY. I love when "sales guys" try to tell people that a deal never existed. Bob Johnson Chevy, Doan Chevy, O'Connor Chevy, Hoselton Chevy (just to name the dealers in Rochester, NY) all had Corvettes (whether Z06 or Stingray) from 20%-25% off before winter hit--it's the same thing every year. Shit, my friend was looking at a silver 1LT Z06 at Hoselton and it was 20% off--he wanted to see if it went lower and it sold at the 20% off. Like I said, set a reminder on your calendar for end of September and watch the prices.

I did the (3) tags for Corvettes last month. I was unable to select a Z06. Grand sport and stingrays were eligible. Maximum off was 14 K w/ Corvette loyalty.

I am not saying the cars are not 20-25% off. I am saying the bonus tags were 10% off. The additional discounts come from the dealer. GM's contribution to those deals were the 10%. It is up to the dealers to discount it further.

a member on here bought a 5th gen ZL1 @ 20% off and sold it for a $3k Profit, Then he bought a loaded 2SS for 20% off, smart!

Bomnin's info is real, called them and talked to them. They are in the top 5 of Camaro sales in the country and they are in the top 5 of Corvette sales, here are the top five from last month for Corvette sales. Bomnin is a huge dealership and they sell pretty much everything at huge discounts. They tack on an $895 doc fee and $396 electronic transfer fee (whatever that is) but at the prices they have they're still cheaper than anyone else.

You're a funny guy. I should be picking up my ZL1 this weekend from another Florida dealer. I got supplier price plus a few other rebates for about $5000 off.
