Whatever car I get would probably be daily driven 8 months out of the year (when the weather is decent), and I'm sure I'll have some fun on many of the winding roads around me. But if I'm not tracking the car, wouldn't a 1LE kind of be a waste? If money wasn't a factor, it would be a no brainer, I would buy one anyway. But unfortunately it's a big factor, which makes it a tough call.
A 1LE will be a lot more at home in that "winding roads" kind of driving, just more responsive and precise in its handling in general. It's hard to put a $ figure on the kind of composure that costs other people a set of (much) wider wheels, better tires, and suspension re-tuning away from base stock.

Never say never with respect to tracking it. Mid-Ohio or Pittsburgh Raceway can't be all that far away and at most HPDE's there's going to be at least one novice group that caters to those with little or no track experience.

Far enough outside?

I have a 2014 Yellow 1LE,2SS,RS with everything but the sun roof. I am 54 years old and stopped beating on my cars years ago. I bought the car because I loved the extras with the 1LE and color schemes. I don't track mine and only drive it on nice days or when heading out of town for the weekend. No regrets on the 1LE.

Also agree with what Norm Peterson said. Took mine down to Hocking Hills a month or so ago and WOW. Those hills and curves in the 1LE were just incredible. Made my wife very ill

JKiss45, If you liked that, wait until you take it to the track. Hands down, bang for buck, nothing comes close to a 1LE.

I'm considering a 1LE vs a 2SS as well. Do you do those weekend trips on the original tires? How are they in the rain?
