Damn, I could never get it over 24mpg avg myself. Usually between 22-23 avg @ 65-75 mph on cruise. Damn inclines do kill it rather quickly. My old 3V pre-gear swap (3.31 to 4.10) got 26-27 at the same speeds and afterwards, 24-25 avg. The Vette is amazing to be packing 400+bhp and can easily get 30 mpg+ because of the light weight and slippery aero.

No Damn about it. That's what the SS gets. If I try real hard I consistently get
23.4.... If I don't try I get 21-22 at about 75 mph or under on the interstate.

I've done a 300 mild round trip and I have seriously averaged low 30s twice. But I drive real easy, 65 and even slower. And i draft when ever possible, it doesn't seem right honestly. But if I can find the pics, I'll post them later.

I will say, that was with no a.c. either. Turn the a.c. on and drive like a normal person, it drops to mid 20s fast.

Yeah I never rely cared for the real mpg results either, as I bought the car for smiles per mile. But I had seen all of these purported 25+ mpg claims and decided I'd give it a shot. Drove from Victoria to Corpus (almost 110 miles) and couldn't get it over 24 to save my life. My method was to haul as up to my cruise speed and as soon as I set CC, I reset the avg fuel econ. Jumped to like 29 and rapidly fell to 22-23. No more and no less.

My 10SS L99 averaged 23mpg's with AFM shut off in the tune I was working on.

Probably would get better but was still trying to tune that shitty Vararam intake via MAF.

Got it real close in getting it perfect, but seen other issues (high IAT's, etc.) and decided to dump it for a Cold Air inductions kit.

I have an OBD monitor and it says 13 combined. I looked this morning on way into work and it says 15 mpg on the dash for average. both numbers make me sad. I have probably almost half of my commute on the highway into work... so for the combined to be under the city mpg... sadness. solid city driving must be REALLY sad!

All depends on mods vs stock. Flat land vs hills. Traffic or no traffic.
Cruise control on 65mph easily could get over 25mpg and doing for kicks 30mpg is achievable.
