Okay...

I've done some searching and really didn't find an answer, but then again one can sit here forever searching sometimes.

Has anyone installed their own factory splash guards on the 2010 camaro?

I'm a DIY kinda guy and I can't see its worth $100 to have the dealer install these.

They can't possibly be that hard to install. Possibly drilling a few holes [prob not even that] and putting in a few screws.

ANY comments, suggestions etc are welcome.

Thanks,
Chad

From what I hear there's a hole you need to drill on each corner (into plastic). The other holes line up with existing screws that you need to remove. It might require you to take of the tires to get at some of them. I think there was a thread with more details. Supposedly takes 20-30 minutes.

Just finished putting a set on yesterday. 2 holes need drilling in fronts and 1 in rear. Its really easy, turn wheel to right to put front right guard on and it will be easy. You may want to raise the front a bit the get your drill under car. The front upper hole is a larger one i think it was 5/16 and you install a plastic push pin, the lower on all 4 guards are 1/8 and under the fender. Clean the fender with alcohol and make sure you leave the tape pull tabs out before you screw in the guards. Ask me how I know..... You wont need to remove any tires/rims if you have a extension to remove rear screws. You will need a torx driver for the screws in the inner fenders. Total time including screw up with pull tabs-1hr. Hope it helps.

Thanks everyone for the prompt and courteous replies.

Thanks RCFiddy1 for the hint about the screwup. I tend to naturally screwup sometimes as well, so it'll probably keep me from screwing it up. I guess I'll understand more what you meant about the tape pull tabs once I get my car and the splash guards.

And thanks for the tip, but I definitely plan on ordering from Camaro Scotty's parts dept. Sounds like they have the best price and lowest shipping, etc.

Thanks again,
Chad

I got a set for mine, had to get black and then have them painted to match the car. They look fine, not really noticable, and the way these tires grip, they're nice to have.

Got the factory black ones for mine. I am so glad I did. Drive it a while with them on and see the pattern for splashes and dirt. Makes a world of difference.

Worth every penny to me.

Installed mine

It took me 25 minutes to install them. No need to lift the car. Just make sure you keep the pull tabs out....I didn't like the way they looked at first but the crap they keep off the car is worth it. (daily driver) The reality is no one notices them. Only one comment on them in person and it was "those look good, I didn't notice them at the dealership".
