Chambered Mufflers

So now I am looking at the flowmaster for that deep throaty sound. Does anybody know which brands other than flowmaster use a chambered type muffler in their setup? Just looking for something to compare it to.
Besides Flowmaster there is the Spin Tech that you can get from Dr. Gas. They also make Nascar exhaust parts and equipment. They claim their Spin Techs will out flow the Flowmaster design. Depending on the number of spin traps/chambers will determine how loud it will be. I had a pair of 4" 5 trap designs built by them for a BB stroker. It was a loud as open headers. Loud. I would suggest the 6 spin trap design for more quiet.

Here's a link to their mufflers. They do make them in stainless.http://drgas.mybisi.com/products/Spi..._189890/?page1

good luck

T304 is a higher grade of stainless steel than T409. Our muffler is T304 stainless steel.

I'd personally steer clear of any chambered exhaust as chambers equal restriction. I'd go with a pair of Magnaflow mufflers and potential the Tru-X pipe; all made in the USA.

In all honesty 409 stainless is better for exhaust applications than 304 stainless. 304 tends to become brittle over time with the heat cycling seen in exhaust components and it cracks.

Please feel free to call or email me anytime and I'd be happy to help you find the right combination for your needs.

Kind regards,

Does anyone know if there are any down falls to removing the stock mufflers and just adding pipe extensions on a 2ss with less then 1,000 miles?

DRONE!! Some say there is none, do not buy it. I rode in a local guys car with the mufflers deleted and it drones. It also sound sloppy.

Go with a SOLO Performance Cat Back for $750 and pick up some extra power (Thanks to mirrored pipes and tru-x) and the sweetest sound in the world of Camaro.
