I fear this whenever I am driving. I have had a few near misses, once with a bear. Its the main reason I try not to ride my bike at night.

Oh boy do I have some Moose pictures....IN the car....ON the car....all OVER the car....yuck.

I had a deer hit me on teh right door in my cousins old car. Took out the vert. Should have been left at my house....I was a moron, yes. But, the damn deer just ran out while I was driving down the road and slammed into the right side of the car. Stupid deer. Then, the police I reported the accident to didn't believe me....and gave me a really hard time....until they walked up to the car and looked REALLY closely and saw a freaking DEER HAIR STUCK TO THE CAR. HA! Jerks.... I mean....2am...and I'm trying ot report this stupid accident. But noooo...they don't want to believe that a SMALL dent was caused by a deer....on teh SIDE of my car. Nevermind....

I LOVE GM vehicles, and particularly Chevy's, but would buy any GM vehicle if I had the $$...Hopefully, one day, soon enough, a 5th Gen CAMARO! Dave_O

Glad you're safe - the car can be repaired, make sure GM parts are approved by the insurance carrier and used by the Body shop. Unfortunately your CarFax will now show the damage and impact resale unless you're leasing or keeping her for the long haul.

My wife had a deer run into her G6 on a highway two years ago - $8K of damage though no air bag deployment either as it was on the passenger side & she was alone. He ran into her while she was doing 60+, and the force spun him around so he kicked the door. She was OK which was the most important thing to me...

Just an update the insurance adjuster wrote up the estimate 3100 in damages. Not as bad as i thought. But I did find out that all gm parts will be used and the head light assembley is 808.43.
