Just got one from RPI that is painted to match its a cable dip stick.

Just ordered one as well. Always hated that ribbon dipstick. With clean oil, it was really hard to see the oil level.

All the pics on here shows the cable one is shorter than the the twisted one. So wouldn't you have to change the dip stick tube to get an acurate measurement.
Because the short one won't go down in the block as far as the twisted one did for accuracy.

The one from RPI was the same length as my OEM stick.

If you look, the actual measurement area is in the same location, only the extra length is removed. Tube is the same height. I bought both tube and stick and the tube length was the same as previous tube. If you lay the dipstick side by side, you'll see the measure areas are the same...

Got my new OEM dip stick last night. Called the dealer gave product number. They had it in stock plus tube. I didn't need the tube. Dip stick price $23.78 tax included. My price $17.26. Tax included. Cut the top off the dip stick and put handle from the old one to the new one works great.

Got mine yesterday and I think the butt dyno noticed about 55.34rwhp increase once installed...

So much easier to read the level with the new one

Increase in HP is due to shortened length weight decrease
