I like it, but I'm not a car buff and don't understand what is better about this shifter.

Once you go black, you never go back!

What do you think is causing the knob to rattle? Is it wiggling where it screws on the lever? Could you get some teflon tape & fix it with that? If it's the problem.

The Black knob I have on it does not come with it. You have to order that separate. It's an extra $50, but well worth it. I love the classic white knob, but the black just blends better in my opinion. Plus the white knob that comes with it is plastic, the black knob is aluminum and has a good weight to it.

Just to put some nostalgia into the mix, manual 69 vettes came with black chrome shift knobs. Not sure about the 69 Camaros.

Looks great.

I am installing mine tomorrow. I too have the white knob but will be getting the black one! I don't like the redundency of the shift pattern and I think the black flows better. I am just really excited to get the shifter in period. I hope its an easy install. I was told it was pretty straight forward.

In fact if you have an automatic tranny. Swap it out with a manual just so you can attach the Hurst Shifter!

SSOOCH, you always find a way to make me laugh, I look forward to reading your posts. Very nice looking shifter. I was on the fence about getting one until I saw your photos.

Hey, JR, I hope you find it is easy to install, too. If so, then you're welcome to install mine!

This shifter looks taller than he stock one. I thought this was a short throw shifter. Nice knob though.
