I am seeing the competiton, some opinions, pricing wars, and some jabs... But where the hell are the Dyno Sheets to display the differences in options.

1. Kooks + Hi-flow cats + straight pipes
2. ARH + stock cats + magna flow loudmouth

Something like that with Dyno Sheets would be nice to see as I too am in the market for a set.

Thank you vendors!!! (...heads over to the vendors threads.)

Because I don't know... Dumb question to follow;

Looking to purchase a set of Kooks short tubes. Just installed a solo Mach X catback. Will the Kooks be a direct bolt up? Or will I need to get installed at a muffler shop?

TIA,
MIke

Guys I'm happy to report we're finishing up the Texas Speed Header/Exhaust system. The system will be availible with either headers & connection pipes, or complete from headers to tips! The systems will feature magnaflow mufflers & be stainless steel from front to back! Pricing should also be lower than the header/x pipe only systems currently out on the market! Why buy a header & x pipe system for $1400+600+ for a catback when the entire system can soon be purchased for the price of headers & x???

Finally! I've been telling people about your option for over 3 months! When is an understatement. Can we get a date already for accountability?

Question Ceramic Coating Headers

I have a set of American Racing Headers 1&7/8 304 Stainless steel long tubes with highflow cats & x-pipe to install on my Camaro, but a friend who also has these on his says the heat from them is really close to the plug wires and is changing them to a more heat resistant type. I have 2 questions.

1. Can Stainless Steel headers be Ceramic coated to help some with the heat close to the plug wires and heat build up in the engine compartment?

2. What plug wires are recommended for use with headers?

Thanks guys

Yes they can be ceramic coated although it usually isn't necessary with 304 stainless.

If it helps make your decision, I was getting 25.0 mpg at 70-74 mph on highway before installing Dynatech headers with cats, and 28.6mpg after.

1.) Yes we are coating ARH headers at Jet Hot at customer request currently. $300+ to do so...choose wisely!

2.) Stock. Totally unecessary to replace the plug wires. 1000HP cars using stock plugs wires. IF you honestly must I recommend Taylor Race Pro 10.4mm in color red. Thicker and just look nicer than MSD in my opinion.

Is that with or without a tune, because I'm getting the Dynatech's and that's awesome!

You bought the car, right?

Thanks for all your Input.............

Nothing against any or the other manufactures, ALL of them contacted me directly to earn my business...Very professional!!! THANK YOU!!! I am just an impatient man and wanted to get them now and not wait for 2 weeks to ship them.

I went with the Kooks...... 1 7/8 OEMC catted. Can't wait to get them & Installed.
Hopefully before snow flies.
