You will get more gain with an X-Pipe Cat Back system. That will get the best flow out the back past the cats. You should get in on the SOLO Performance GROUP BUY!!

They already hit 10% off, if you go in it will go to 11%. It should hit 20% by the end, or close to it.

READ ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS AND LISTEN TO THE CLIPS!!

Don't understand the big difference between the X and H pipe design. Each is meant to help with a btter scavenge of the exhaust gases to decrease backpressure, right ? I assume the X pipe creates a less restrictive flow to suit that purpose than a H pipe ? The X pipe flows straight, while the H has to have enough 'vacuum' pressure and possible backpressure from the exhaust outlet to create the useful alternative flow of exhaust gas to the opposite side (through the H design) ??
Spectulating here ...

I also assume the V8 creates more Vacuum and backpressure so the H pipe satisfies the need for the X on a V6 ?

If you have a straight shot flow - ie.:MRT or other axle back or catback system - which uses a flow through resonator or less restrictive muffler, not alot of need for an X pipe vs. a H pipe is there ????

On my previous V8 I had indenpent duals and several guys told me a crossover (X or H design) would help a bunch for flow and power. Never got around to installing either.

All i know for sure is due to the firing order on a V6 you want to have some way of balancing the exhaust whether it's a X or a H pipe...

In reference to my response here I apologize. Thought I was still auto responding to the v-8 sections same questions here... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=1#post1179552.

I still don't think you should make your decision based on a dyno result alone. There are WAY to many factors that go into CAI selection. Just look at the results of the V-8 Janetty test. Thought not near as in depth as Janetty. For the LS3 crowd I wholesale purchased several CAI's in that test as requests came in from customers all over the US. I then did my own personal review before sending the piece back out for shipping to my customer. I could not explain enough the quality of Roto-Fab/ADM Performance, the very close 2nd and 3rd place of others, and then some that just seemed like a throw together to sell parts at an OBSCENE cost.

Truth is the V-6 market is kinda' in the big wait for now. They just didn't get the attention the LS3 crowd did.

V-6 folks should stick with Airaid on the CAI choice until the other manufacturers can catch up in engineering a quality competive piece of their own. Axleback exhaust...I only offer my V-6 customers Magnaflow. Just can't beat the quality and pricing as a wholeslae dealer, sorry!
