That's why we come here, to see what the experts have to say. Their's always someone that tries to make you feel like a dumb ass but don't listen. I get ripped for my spelling all the time ,but I don't care. For the most part it is a very good group of people and fun to be part of.

Here's one right here. All I said was good for Scott, I never said Scott was not an expert. This is from this post."so justin what this guy is saying even though Scott is one of GM's Camaro Product Manager, he's not an expert"?

YOU STATED that he was not an expert---
at least not more than you and your google ability.

naysayers like you are generally form an opinion, instead of an educated statement.

good luck making fans on this site. i hope you need an issue resolved, that the so called experts you sneer at, can fix.
best of luck,

Everything we believe to be fact, is merely an opinion waiting to be disproved. (ouch that hurt... gotta stop trying to sound smart)

Your inference that "good for Scott, and anyone could Google and find the number of sensors in the seat of a 5th Gen., is a fine example of perception. The wording you choose, leads people to perceive your comments one of two ways;
1. You're referring to Scott as not being an expert. (which I know was not your intention)
2. Your comments cause another to react and make a statement which is counter to the point you were trying to make.

Just as you will look at someones response to a question and feel that they might be "calling someone a moron" by the repsonse they provide, is an expamle of perception.

People will react based on their perception. I'm sure you DID NOT mean to infer Scott is not an expert. And I'm sure 99.9% of the people who respond to another persons question are NOT inferring that the one asking is a moron.

I really think people need to relax and take a breath. As I said earlier, the majority of people here are a great group. If you have a problem, and it goes for anyone, bring it to the attention of a mod. or admin., and we'll address it.

There are a lot of people on here who have followed this car from its inception and first announcement a couple years ago. They read all they can, they have watched all of the videos, gobbled up any piece of information as it became available, etc. They are very knowledgeable and part of the fun is sharing and demonstrating that knowledge. Experts? Maybe not - but knowledgeable fans of a great car? Absolutely.

So if the threads get overwhelmed by those who are knowledgeable and those that want to be, that's part of the fun.

Except for the rare instance where someone where someone pulls a real bonehead move, I don't think anyone intends to make someone feel like a moron.

I have never read so many experts on a car that has only been out for 9 months. Am I the only one that is amazed at how many people seem to think they know everything possible about the origin and what it took to make this car? No matter what people ask here it gets turn around as if the one asking the question is a total moron.

Just my two cents.

Go ahead and take your shots so called experts.
Mark, I guess I don't understand what you are saying. Are you insinuating that someone is an expert or consider themselves to be an expert because they share their opinion or their knowledge (whatever that may be)??

This is a forum board, that's what occurs on boards like this. I've personally learned a lot from all these more knowledgeable people. Yes, there are a few people that could be more tactful in their replies, or should remember that elementary school lesson that "if you can's say something nice don't say it at all," but for the most part the people here are very helpful.

I truly believe for the most part, the people here are looking to help, inform, and share their knowledge, whatever, and however much it is.

I'd suggest that if you seeing this occuring as often as you infer, contact one of the mods., or admins., so that it can be addressed.

This is a very good site, with a great group of people. Insinuating that people turn things around to make others look bad is hard to believe. Yes, there are a few, every site has its share, but to generalize is unfair.

Ed
Very well said Ed, and I very much agree!

Mark, this is one example. Do you have others? Because there are hundreds of posts created on this board every week, one post is not enough to paint a brushing generalization.

Hopefully you'll look around more and see that this board is representative of any large group of people, you have all types of people here, representing all walks of life, AND people that can hide behind anonymity, this board is extremely helpful and informative and fun considering those factors!

Cheers!

I pulled this off the first site I went to when asked to provide proof. I'm sure If I go to another post I will eventually find the same thing, actually I know I will. I see it everyday, there is no way I'm the only one that has notice this?
