The one I booked with is giving me a $1000 off MSRP discount (by mistake), so I guess I'll stick with him. Plus, it's not like I can drive it in January on Canadian roads anyway.
There are many 'impulse' buyers out there that don't even know they want a Camaro. They drive onto or by a Chevrolet dealership and see one. They test drive and buy it, whether they were wanting to buy a new car or not. It happens.

My dealer has 8 or so as well. An LT or 2 and the rest are 2SS's. All of them have the market adjustment crap added to the sticker. The quote I got from the internet manager didn't include the market adjustment so they had to honor it. If they didn't, I wouldn't have purchased. It took all day and most of the night to haggle out a deal. I love haggling.

....they can't keep them in stock here in Fresno, CA. As soon as they have one they sell it. I was fortunate and bought one they received a month after I ordered mine. I had ordered a Black 2LT in September, the dealership received a SIM 2LT/RS, 20" polished wheels and sunroof a month after that (10/7/09) and my sales guy called me and I bought it that same day. The one I ordered was delivered Monday and currently it's still sitting there waiting for a good home!

Its not exactly greedy dealers stealing from others who don't have any left.

Each dealer is assigned a number of cars, their allocation. Whether a customer orders a car or not, they still have that allocation. Many dealers put customers on lists longer than their allocation. Others never had enough customer orders to fill their allocation, so they got Camaros to sit on their lot and sell a week or a month from now. The only way to fix this and fill the back orders faster would be to have dealers turn customers away once they reached their allocation, which ain't gonna happen in this market.
