Left home (coastal NC) Wednesday May 2nd at 0930 and made it home Saturday May 5th at about 1815 hours. Distance traveled 1,414 miles. Half of that was with the Z28 on the trailer behind us! Was rather nerve wracking going through the Smokey and Blue Ridge Mountains! Loading this jewel was quite the task.
First time sitting in a set of Recaro seats, OMG! First time driving a Z28, OMG There was one slight problem that caused us some time on the return home. Every darn time we stopped for fuel someone would want to look the car over! Love it.

That's a beauty! I'm jealous of that sweet trailer too!

The trailer is sweet and this was its very first trip! With that said, loading the Z28 was nothing but difficult and nerve wracking! With the top back of the trailer at about 12" from the ground and the ramps about 4' long creates way to much incline. We had a set of 7' ramps that we laid on top of the factory 4' ramps, still the front would rub as the ramps would sag some. So.... we put added bracing under the ramps. Finally we were able to load her without dragging anything.
Arriving home in NC we decided to back the trailer up to a narrow ditch and placed the factory 4' ramps across. We actually drove straight off without any difficulty! Why in God's name didn't we do that for loading? Hind sight is 20/20 I guess.
