Sorry, I cannot ship outside the USA...nor can any dealer, unless they'd like to lose their franchise with Chevy

For that price, are the cars converted to right hand drive? The car shown in the pic still has left side drive.

OK... I have a legit question for our Aussie friends... Is it REQUIRED that cars have RHD in Australia? I have seen plenty of cars in the states with RHD on the road. Sure it looks a little odd but there is no law against driving on the "wrong" side of the car. Is there a law in Austraila that prevents you from driving a LHD car? I have seen on other forums about people converting 1st and 3rd gens to be driven in Austrailia. Seems like a waste to me. If legal, just drive on the left. It will attract a bit of attention but... whatever.

Reminds me of one day io was driving and there was this Saturn wagon next to me and the lady "driving" was reading the newspaper, like full page... Then I realized it was RHD!

Please, clear this up for me b/c other than a law, i can't see any good reason to convert cars. And... $100,000 to change the car doesnt seem too bad, thats A LOT of work!

I guess no one here understands the cost of living in Australia. People there make way more than any of us in US or Canada. But they also pay a heck of a lot more to live. A house worth $1m in Canada would be worth almost $3m in Australia. Making a direct comparison of the Camaro in both currencies is a bit fruitless.

The car needs to be atleast 15 years old so you can drive it LHD.

Buy an american version and ship it to Australia. Yeah, the steering will be on the wrong side but so what. You probably could buy and ship 2 Camaros for what it would cost to buy one in Australia. Probably with money left over.
Scotty could beam the car over there

That is crazy. I thought the UK was crazy about their cost for cars from the US. There was an Aussie that came here to buy a bike and paid twice what cost for US sale.

I would also trade for a mint Falcon XB. MAD MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooooooohoooooo. lol. JK I will not be getting rid of my "1SS" but that price tag sucks, are you sure it isnt the SLP Aussie edition?

I owned both, at one time. The four door, and the coupe. GREAT CARS although the four door felt a little more solid. Boy, I could tell you stories about RHD and state patrol double takes.....Enough about FORDS The 2SS feels better, and gives me that same hair raising feeling....

I feel your pain. I recall not getting the XA's, XB's and XC's here....sucked.

If I recall, we had to wait 15 yrs to get those over here....and what with your new laws regarding vehicles a lot are leaving AU. I think that is too much money of course, even with the dollar. I remember when it was HALF. And importing em in country was about 5k with a few months wait....I cant imagine what it is now, but 145k? Damn.

Again, I say, I feel your pain, because now the situation is reversed. But more. A great car, is a great car. I almost bought my XB's back, but the 2SS has the same cold chill feeling, easier to drive here, and insurance isn't a problem anymore.

I cant imagine WHAT your insurance would be. Mine was 1500 every 6 mo. COLLECTIBLE at that....jeesus. Parts are soooo gone now...Great times.

How the hell did he get it in Australia? With only 50km miles, it shouldn't have been exported being a new vehicle.
