The thing that is annoying is that I told the Service Manager that he should consider a new computer and he brushed it off like "let the professionals handle it sir"...
Since the dealership no longer calls me with updates I've now got Chevy Customer Care managing them for me.

Sounds like your dealer has a poor customer service dept. I'm sure Chevy customer support will help get to the root of your problem soon. Let me know if the computer ends up the being the problem. Good luck! The Camaro is one of my best and fun purchases, you'll love it once they have it right.

You can't just count the days, it doesn't work like that. Days that the shop is closed, time spent waiting on parts, and time spent installing parts isn't calculated towards the total time spent in the shop.

We had the same issue with a V6...bad O2 sensor, because the factory put too much goop on the threads, and when it warmed up, renedered the sensor INOP....causing the car to run like poo. Part arrived in two days, replaced, and ran fine.

Hopefully, they'll have it up and running soon. I know it stinks to not be able to enjoy your new car, but I wouldn't rush to get it replaced. The dealership will eventually find the problem and they've already ruled out several things in their troubleshooting process.

I had an 02 Vette that had a problem with the seat memory not working. The seat actually moved by itself one time at a stop light. It took the dealer 3 attempts to fix it and at least two control modules went out. I felt the same way you did until I got it back, but I was relieved when they finally fixed the problem. It ended up being the wiring harness was assembled incorrectly.

I'd try to be optimistic and let them try a couple more things, even if it means a few more days without your car.

Keep us posted.

So today they tell me that they are getting a PCM computer module and they hope that this will fix the issue. Day 14 or so. Had good conversations with lawyers so I'm feeling confident will get sorted. The longer they keep fooling around with the car the better for me at this point.

Reminds me of the old Pep Boys comercial,I have my two best mechanics on your car, they were sitting on the hood eating lunch
Take it to another dealer!
The diagnostic system should tell the problem
I am a retired mechanic [auto/marine]
you need air, fuel, compression and spark for a cylinder to fire.
If an injector shows bad it may not be getting a signal from the computer,
not a bad injector

It sound like the computer is their last opportunity to fix the car in the time window. Did they say it would be in by today?

I no longer get daily updates, they don't listen to me when I try to pass them good info from the forum anyway. By the time these clowns get done they will have swapped out the whole engine...

I wish I had gotten the 60 day return....
Your local lemon law is going to be better than the 60 day return. Have you read the terms of the 60 day return. One of the conditions is you have to keep the car a minimum of 30 days so you would still be sitting with the car (either not working or being repaired) for the entire time. I also believe the refund policy isn't that great as far as the disposition of your original trade in )if any) and there determination of whther or not the car has $200 of damage, etc.

Really there is too much dealer discretion in it. Better to have taken the $500.

Camaro watch day #349304!

So I spoke to the service department today and got a more detailed update. They eliminated the fuel injector as the problem and now they are pretty certain that the PCM is the issue.
Now here is the interesting thing, the PCM is not being shipped off the production line it is coming from engineering. The tech said that that normally happens when they are aware of a problem and are trying to fix it so engineering tends to have parts with the new specification before they make it to the line.
