The Onstar on the Camaro can turn off the car. It will shut down the computer in the engine.

Just pull the fuel pump fuse or relay...it doesn't cost anything and if they break into it they can't drive it off. Then you would only be vulnerable to thieves with a tow truck.

LoJack was 1000 to get installed on my new car this last year.

Install a Trunk Monkey Security System www.trunkmonkey.com LOL

Seriously though, buy a holster for a large caliber handgun (44 mag or 50 cal) and leave it on the seat in plain view when you leave your car. When a would be theft looks into the vehicle, he will wonder where is the gun and the owner. Works great in convertibles.

It's not worth going to jail over someone stealing a car which is replacable. Don't park ya car in bad areas, take the beater. Otherwise, that's why I pay for comprehensive insurance...

I plan on installing a touch-sensitive high voltage theft deterrent system myself. One touch to my Camaro, say hello to 100,000 volts, biznitch! ... I wish.

I'm getting a stick, so that'll help, I guess. My main worry was the same thing my mom had an issue with in 1976 with her new Trans Am - some asshole keyed her car. Jealous dude, I'm telling ya.

Nothing is theft proof. Insurance and On-Star are your best options. But I plan to smear feces all over the steering wheel every night so if a theif steals my Camaro, I'm hoping he'll rub his eye and get pink eye.

My Man ...

I have some knowledge on Lo-Jack

There are 7 FM transmitters that is placed throughout the the body/frame of the car which is very hard to find especially if it's sandwiched between the body and the frame, If your car has been stolen, Lo-Jack will work with the po-po to get your car back or popo has the device to look for you car so and so

Now...If you are up against some pro's like in "Gone in 60 Seconds" it is possible for them to find all 6 of the 7 transmitters with the same device the police uses but they would have to do some damage to retrieve the 7th transmitter that's sandwiched between the body and the frame

Chrysler vehicles come stock with Lo-Jack so I have nothing to worry about
