That being said there may very well be some initial constraints on parts, packages, etc. that come up between now and February.

If anyone needs help placing an order please feel free to contact me. If Grapevine is a bit further than you want to drive you can't go wrong at Moritz either (another fine dealer with a great reputation).

I tried Moritz first but couldn't get a call back. I ordered mine through Classic Chevrolet. Talk to Kevin Gooding and tell him I sent you.

Did Classic Chevrolet sell through the first round or are there still a few Camaros to be ordered?

I'm good on my black 2ss/rs w/short throw but I was curious to see how fast these things are really moving. 67 of any car in a week is amazing, I would think.

Glad to hear about how good some of the dealers in Texas are. I won't be getting mine until around May 2010 or so unfortunately, but have already decided that if the dealers around Wichita Falls aren't going to be helpful, I will have no hesitation driving 2 hours down to Classic Chevrolet after talking to them through email and reading multiple posts about them

If anyone is on the east side of town (Richardson, Plano, Frisco, ect) please think about coming out to see us at Reliable Chevrolet. My name is Gerry Norris and I work in sales there. Our initial allocation is only 29 and we are about halfway thru it now but we still have orders to fill. So if Classic or any of the dealers on that side of town are a little further than you would like to drive please come see me.

Hopefully everyone on this thread has been checking out the overall MSRP or below dealer thread. I ended up getting a call the day after my post about Stonebriar, and they changed their minds. I will be going back up there to get my deposit back. I did call and put down a deposit at Classic Chevrolet mid-week this week, and Toby Meadows was the guy to answer the phone. The next morning, I got a PM from Chevy Hawk, who works at Classic as well. I've been very happy with their response time, etc. They stated that they had an allocation of 67, and were almost done with their allocation yesterday. Hopefully for those that still need to put down a deposit, they might have some spots left. If not, it looks like we now have the local support of Reliable. Sorry BeastyTA. Hopefully you won't hold it against me when we get together a local chapter closer to delivery date.

I won't hold anything against you or anyone else for going to another dealer...unless you were already working with me and then went somewhere else lol.

The deal with all the big deposits being required by so many dealers really does not make sense as dealers can't legally keep the deposit anyway even if you decided not to take the car.

I apologize for any confusion yesterday as we were told several days ago by our GM Rep that the only cars being built at this time would be the V6's but it would be good to go ahead and get your V8 order in ASAP to be one of the first in line when they do start building the the V8's. Classic Chevrolet is a great dealership that being said we are too and we are right in your back yard. We want to earn your business!!! Corvette Fever magazine named us as one of the Top 100 dealerships in the United States to have your Corvette serviced we hope to have that same distinction with the new 2010 Camaro as well. Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to be your Camaro dealer.
