There is actually a Custom Mustang shop about a mile from my house. I thought they were really nice Mustangs till one day I drove by and all of their doors where sticking up in the air.

I really hop the new Camaro isn't in it. Fast and the Furious got dumber every movie, so this one is going to suck somethin' fierce!

I've never seen FF3, the first wasn't too bad and the second was entertaining to watch -mostly laughing at the problems with it.
I don't think that the Camaro will be portrayed in the same light that the old muscle cars are. It will most likely be used as an attempt to unite the import crowd and the muscle crowd. ie, I think it will get riced out.

I think they should put the V6 Camaro in this one. It would be great for a few reasons.
First, it brings legitimacy to V6 muscle cars. If they pit it against V8s like the Mustang GT, it will look great in comparison. It will compete with the 350Z, so it would bring some of the ricer crowd away from their favorite Asian cars and show them that American V6s run with the best of them. Second, we can't expect our car to be the focus of the movie. If they pick a V6, it won't be disappointing that it isn't the best because it wouldn't even be the best Camaro. If they pick a V8 and make it lose to a car that doesn't even come close performance-wise, then it would take legitimacy from the whole movie. It would be like a Honda beating a Ferrari. In the case of this movie, that might be pretty close to the comparison, especially given the Camaro Nurburgring times showing how closely the new Camaro V8 can run with some top exotics. Third, it puts the Camaro in the same category as everyone's favorite ricers. This might sound awful for those of us who hate Lancers with fart can exhausts, fake spinners, and spoilers that don't belong on cars that barely have 200 horses, but we need to look at the Camaro as a huge business investment from a company that is in dire need of sales. If GM can sell this car to anyone right now, they will. We the enthusiasts need this car to sell to justify GM's investment in this car and potential future investment in other performance cars, possibly including performance Camaros like the 1LE, ZL1, and everyone's favorite Z28. Basically, the Camaro is a great machine that needs product placement. Some members of this site have recently claimed that the Transformers movie brought them to our side of the table. This film is a great opportunity for GM to take a stand against the imports that have so deeply dug into the American car market.

I'm not too good with my movie historical knowledge, so can anyone tell me if Camaro ever had a roll that really "made" the movie, and thus linked to it (in a positive way) forever? In the likes of Bullitt and the Mustang or Smokey And The Bandit and the Trans Am.
I know Bumblebee for the current Camaro (and I do believe that will be a positive legacy for the new Camaro), but I was just trying to think of past Camaros with staring movie rolls and just couldn't come with anything other than the IROC that Simon and Simon drove

Better Off Dead, it was mentioned elsewhere here on the site in the past. Oddly enough, it starred John Cusack who also starred in Grosse Point Blank, and we all know who lives in Grosse Point.....I know its was a late 60s one, and I want to say it was a 69...There is webpage out there for the who who found and restored the car from the movie...http://betteroffdeadcamaro.com/
