I have to comment on this. I have been riding a motorcycle for 39 years and yes I have seen alot of dumb things done by both the motorcyclist and auto driver. I don't think its in anyones interest to jump to or speculate on conclusions to whom was at fault. And yes the motorcyclist could have run a stop sign/red light, it happens. I was driving an ambulance and was dispatch to an accident just like this where the cyclist "WAS" at fault-he too lost his life.

Did the motorcyclist run a red light, stop sign or something?

As a rider (with helmet) you wouldn't believe how many cars pull out in front of you. Often with a cell phone in their hands or a car load of teenagers yacking to each other.

yes this is sad for all involved and i hope the best for you black maro ss my advise for you is to offer your heart felt condolenses to the family of the biker because that will make you and them feel better and relieve some of the guilt you may feel. when i got hit on my bike it ruined my life as i knew it and the 16 year old responsible for the accident and his lawyer father or family not once did they contact me in anyway and check to see how i was in the hospital and to this day its been almost 2 years and i never heard from them. of course the father that was a lawyer and his insurance company only tried to get out of paying anything to me but my awsome lawyer found justice thank GOD.

Black Maro- The whole incident is a shame because someone lost their life. Thanks for clarifying it wasn't your fault. Sounds like klatterblast, like myself, both lost a leg from motorcycle accidents that were the car drivers fault. I got hit almost head on by a drunk lady who was speeding going over 60 mph. Even though this wasn't your fault, it's nice to see that you still cared. Don't let it get to you, sounds like there was nothing you could have did.

You got that right. Alive, spending time with the family. Just got to see my son get his black belt, amongst tons of other things I almost missed (Including driving my new Camaro!!). I love life now more then ever.

By the way, how much is gas per gallon in Kuwait?

Hmm, a helmet might not have saved him either on this one looking at the damage. I hear about accidents every day and motorcycle ones almost daily as well.. Very had to survive certain ones with or without helmets. A prayer is due for this guys family and friends.
