Have you tried pressing config, then going to phone (radio controls), and then selecting the device? That is how I have to do it each time for my phone.

The trick is I will not see the bluetooth logo on the radio until I do that.

I can also do it by turning off the bluetooth on the phone, having the car on or acc, and then turning the bluetooth on, on my phone.

It was frustrating as all can be with my phone, but once I figured it out, it is not too bad. I thought for sure it would only get paired once, and then I had to pair it up again, but not the case, I found two ways of doing it.

Thats your answer it can't be paired for both. I tried it with my Pre and it removed the phone pairing and replaced it with the music. So if you want to do both think you have to use the USB or line in for it to work.

Something isn't right, Onstar and Bluetooth have been in 2LT and 2SS's since day one.

That has to be phone dependent. My G1 is paired for both music and phone. The two bluetooth modules in the car have different identifiers so I have two pairings with my phone.

Now I am confused, how can I be sure? and is it possible that may car has only one Bluetooth for music only?

try pairing again as a phone that will tell you if it works or not. As for the Onstar thing I have no idea why your car lacks it. It is supposed to be in all of them?

For now, I have to find the phone number on my phone, then when I hit send, it goes through the bluetooth.
Should be pretty user freindly. I did mine without the manual. Plugged the numbers in to the car (manually) and recorded the contact voice name, and now I push the button on the steering wheel and it says 'Ready' and I'll say a comand like, 'Call Bonnie', then it will confirm and I say 'Yes' and it calls.

Just play with it for a while. It takes some time but it's really not too hard.

K, thanks. I'll try it. It's another excuse to sit in the car and play with things anyway! LOL

No doubt. That's what I did. I felt like a little kid at Christmas after getting that gift that you KNEW your parents couldn't afford.

My Blackberry Curve 8350i sees the bluetooth signal from my car as "General Motors." Once paired, you can press the phone activation button on the steering wheel. Next you'll hear.

"Say a Command."

Reply - "Bluetooth"

"Bluetooth Ready."

Reply - "Voice."

Then say the person's name on your contact list. The voice recognition is actually quite good on my phone and in this car.
