I am amazed at the Corvette resale prices. A 1987 convert mint just sold at the Barrett Jackson tonight for 5K.

Yeah, even though the C4 is bargain basement prices compared to the earlier models, $5K for a mint '87 'vert is a pretty good deal. However, I wonder how mint it actually is and what the mileage was.

Are we discussing the car or the woman?

I’ve been into vettes a while now. Bought and sold a C4 earlier this year. The only gen that competes with the c4 for the bottom of the barrel pricing is the 74-82 C3. I have a friend who’s been trying to sell his 74 convertible. He has foolishly sunk a lot of money into this car and it is hands down the best example of a 74 Vert I’ve ever seen. Highest offer he has received in the last 2 years is $15k.
You need to find someone who just wants that car to bring back memories and feelings. Otherwise, you’re scraping bottom on Craigslist. But it still should bring in the much needed few thousand dollars for your buddy. Good luck to him, hope things get better.

74-77 C3 cars will always bring more money than any C4 car if compared condition to condition. Not a lot more, but always more.
