Bright colors are more showy, yes.
Well I just assume than people know what my Camaro is capable of when they see the "SS" on the grille & rear end.

I went with Black/Black... tinted the windows. Looks slick when you notice it, but doesn't shout out "Hey Look At Me!"

The green is ugly IMHO. A darker green would have been much better. Good luck with your choice.

I have been in and out of the Camaro market for quite some time now. I was close to putting a $500 deposit down way back in early 2009, but felt weary of it and decided to hold off. After reading all the horror stories of people being extorted for more money for their cars and the dealer's kids getting forum members long awaited Camaros... I was glad I didnt bother.

So fast forward almost a year, I read about this Synergy Green Limited Edition coming out early 2010. It completely renewed my interest. Albeit a somewhat odd reason -- my wife has a 2006 Envy Green Limited Edition Xb which looks almost like the same color as the Synergy green. It would be cool to have 2 limited edition green vehicles in my carport (I dont love green, I prefer blue, but her car has grown on me).

So anyway, when I was looking I had decided I wanted a 2LT RS, but I see this new limited edition only comes in 1LT non-RS. Why is that?! Do you think that is a big deal? I need to refresh what options I would be missing out on.

More importantly, I called a dealer today (not the same one I dealt with previously) and he said they just got whiff of the new edition today and I could be the first order of "this extremely limited availabilty". That I could put down $500 and put one on order. Man, that sounds awesome, but I hate to get burned... has the demand gone down enough that this is no longer a concern? Do you think the demand on this limited edition will be high (especially considering the not so mainstream color and weird trim requirement)?

He is getting back to me with a price. What should I EXPECT to be paying?

Any words of wisdom?

Thanks in advance!

G
I drive the no longer in production color aqua blue metallic, and honestly I think its great to have the one color that not everyone is always going to have the option to buy.. Go for the green man! I paid 32,500 for a base 1SS. Dont pay a dime over the MSRP!!! Everyone I know that ordered theirs through the dealer paid MSRP like I did. Everyone else gets 10k average added to the price... ridiculous I think, but hey they still get sold I guess

Its a color you either love or hate..no in between. Saw the car at SEMA and with the right touches it can be really nice. Certain areas in back did wonders for the car, ie wheels and stripes. Too bad about the RS and not 2LT though. GM is so stupid...give the masses what they want. Don't they need the money. Personally I would not buy one, guess thats what people thought when they didn't support ABM and now its gone. Love my 2SS / RS ABM.

My first car was green (Dark Moss Green to be exact), but I don't really like this color. To each their own though.

I'd like to see this fabled synergy green!

can somebody help me see this synergy green color?

Is there a link for the special edition somewhere? can't find it on the chevy site, but I'm amazed I can find anything on that thing . . . a search turns up nothing . . .

green is my favorite color for vehicles, but I'm kinda partial to dark greens and I'm getting the impression that this synergy green is a bright lime green . . . maybe not so much . . .

thanks

I googled "Synergy Green Camaro" in the images and got some results. That's the car I'm going off of as there have yet to be pictures posted here.

I'd post them now but I'm off to get pizza and milk (I AM OUT OF MILK WTF) for the game

LOL dude, anyone driving a Camaro is showing off and wanting people to look at them. Black/black/black Camaro? Yes, you want people to notice you, stop kidding yourself.

Personally, I don't like the Synergy Green colour for the following reason:

1. It's too bright IMHO
2. It's similar to the light greens used on many imports and other small cars like the new Chevy Spark.
3. It's restricted to the 1LT V6 and you can't even order the RS package!! ... What gives??? Way to restrictive IMO.

Would've loved to have seen a more darker colour of green, however, I like my IBM so much, there is no way I will be trading it in any time soon!
