thanks for the advice on the jl clean sweep, i will be checking it out.

im not saying it's complete garbage, just lacks clarity bigtime at high volumes, i can't really go past 20 on the volume without it sounding terrible. especially if it is a heavy bass song. seems like it should have been an important feature of the car considering the type of car it is.

for just everyday mild listening it does sound good, no problems there, and i love the usb feature.

What I tried the other night to get some more bass and ended up having the system sound better overall is having my EQ set to 12 8 12 and having it balanced to the rear (since someone mentioned the rear has the passes/filters to get more bass) about 5 or 6.

I an can turn it up louder and get more bass and still have it sound as good as it did before.

turning up the bass just makes it distort more for me. i have been reading about the clean sweep and i think that is the way i will go with this.
