Perrysburg? Never heard of that, I'm likely up north of you in the Lake effect area, we get an annual of 120-140" per season, it's the daily corrosive chemical dousing that we get that will destroy a car within a few years, pit alloy wheels destroy the suspension not to mention undercarrage ice damage that occurs from the consistant debree left on the road.
I'd never subject the Camaro to this (let alone it's hard to handle on snow) but this season I'm seeing a few pristine older F bodies out there, usually driven by young kids. I was selling a Mint '78 T-Bird a few years back, I got a lot of calls for people just looking for a 'good heavy winter car' (& really wanted to give me nothing for this vehicle that never seen snow let alone rain)... I ended up sending the car back down to Florida to be sold, no one really had too much interest in it up here. Somewhat pointless though to keep the car from rain, I wish I had that choice but are you going to keep the car in tupperware the rest of it's life? Even if I drive the Camaro to work on a dry day it'll still get keyed.... now just keep the car away from neandrathols & idiots! |
