2010 Camaro SS 8:20 In Nurburgring time the Camaro was beaten by a day and a half. The Caddy did have a blown LSA though. With those times im guessing the V series coupe will turn 7:45 to 7:52 |

I'd say Camaro. The performance per dollar is better and the looks are a lot better. If you're looking at V6s you might consider a CTS, but considering you can get the SS probably around the price of a base CTS, you'd probably be looking more at luxury and class than performance to go for the CTS. It may have classier interior and C.O.T.Y. cred, but the Camaro is going to be an all around badass ride.
And in a drag race, the Camaro will lose, but considering the power of the V that's no surprise. And the 'ring times will probably be slightly better for the V coupe, but I dunno about 15 seconds better. It'll definitely be the better bargain, but the price of the Camaro will determine how much better. They're both cool cars though. To clarify: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ook/index.html The curb weight of the caddy is at the bottom. The AWD model will be the heaviest. With a manual and the DI V6 it's around the same weight as a Camaro. I edited my statement above because I said anyone who goes for the base cts over the SS camaro is silly. I get ahead of myself sometimes. Obviously that's not true. But for us performance lovers it would seem so. Last edited by MajorTom; 08-15-2008 at 06:47 PM. |

With the next generation CTS, it will be slightly bigger, to replace the STS. The smaller european BLS will be brought in to be the entry level Caddy. Then, the DTS is being replaced by something completely different. Cadillac is trying to get away from FWD. This is all suppose to happen within the next five years. I read this online either on caranddriver.com or automobilemag.com.

I love the CTS, and bet the coupe will be a great car. However, it's a Camaro for me! I don't want that type of car payment that comes with a Cadillac, and I don't want to pay the higher premiums a Caddy dealer would charge me for simple things, like an oil change. I've driven a base model CTS recently...It's a great car, but to me, the interior is just as cheap as my yellow 1990 Sedan DeVille! BTW, that was a good car! Fun to beat the mess out of some teenager driving a civic, who think my car hasa V-6! Ha!

The CTS Coupe is an awesome car, and the V-series Coupe should be even better. But value wise, the Camaro's a better deal. Awesome performance, better fuel economy, and for a much lower price tag.
And if anyone's in the market for a sport wagon... http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/15/m...agon-revealed/
