I think you are thinking of a different version of the camaro...I have the 2LT camaro, it's a V6 and did not come with the car.

2LT comes with the gauges
1LT does not have them

if it did not come with the gauges in the center console when the car was delivered to the dealer, then you do not own a 2LT Camaro but a 1LT. also, if you have cloth instead of leather seats, that is also a sign you have a 1LT not a 2LT .

**I used 2 cable ties, worked good. If you don't use a fastener you could push the gauges down into the housing. Hard to explain but you'll understand when you start installing. Not a hard install job.**

I thought of that but to me that seemed a little cheap even by most standards. You would think that if you paid the suggested list of what $495.00 or so that GM could have put the package together a little better. Four clips and screws is all that was needed, so another $2.00. I used clips that we have where I work to lock the guages in place. Then I used the ties to retain the harness better then just with one of them. I holds them tight and I can remove them if I want to without cutting anything.
Just my lame opinion.

... I'm curious... in the 2LT/2SS cars, what does GM use to fasten the gauge pack to the trim piece when they are assembled ?
