Usually cams set up for big NA power aren't usually the best for blower power.

And yeah, I'd buy that cam for my Camaro.

correct you dont want too much LSA nor duration bc it will bleed of boost. Thats why you see alot of guys with forced induction running the ZO6 cams. They are bigger than a stock LS1 cam but aren't too big to affect boost. I really cant wait to start modding this thing. I hope there are also aftermarket rearend gears available after launch bc there is nothing that complements a bigger than stock cam then some steeper gears.

im sure GM will have all questions and concerns answered when it come time to buy the parts. I am guessing with a tuned intake, exhaust, and this hot cam, the car might break 450 bhp. Also what do you guys think about pulling the resonators and cat converters out and putting more high flow exhaust in? I have an O2 sensor simulator in my chev truck that keeps the engine light off but will the car run right without the cats?

It will run fine without cats as long as you get a tune, and would run ok even without a tune. I'm thinkin headers to QTP cut out's to the X pipe and into a pair of bullet mufflers and dumped. Should sound B-E-A-UTIFUL!

I was also checking out that hot cam and they kept saying dont forget about the ECU and wiring harness. Is there any benefit to changing that out? And would you be able to get the hot cam installed from factory or dealership?

The ecu and wiring comment refers to a LS crate engine. The stock computer will run that cam fine but for max gains a tune is always recomended.

It'll break 470 with the cam alone.

If GM offers a cam kit i will get it for sure. Might just try to get the dealership to throw it in to the deal

Any thoughts on durability of the engine when adding the cam and exhaust. I would love 450-475 hp but I don't think I want to sacrifice longevity. I plan on keeping this thing till it just says "enough is enough!"

Hey Shifty. The LS1s held up to those numbers without a problem and GM has done nothing but improve and strengthen the design since then.
