IF you're thinking of Infiniti, Try out the G35, G37, and then the faster Q's. I'm actually pretty happy with the almost-analog G35, and it doesn't take too much to squeeze a bit more power out of it (the intake is pinched off at the front).
I'm actually pretty happy with the almost-analog G35, I got an 82K-mile Sport coupe for a decent price, and it doesn't take too much to squeeze a bit more power out of it (the intake is pinched off at the front).

But as was stated earlier, pricing for 2-door coupes is pretty much insane at this point, I've thought about getting my green beast a new home and picking up a SS, but the problem with that is while I see V6 cars being priced through the stratosphere, none are actually selling...and SS's aren't exactly cheap, either.

I'd suggest hanging onto your existing car and just driving it.
I wish I could figure out how to respond to multiple people at once, honestly didn't think I'd get this many responses.

I had a g35 sedan years ago and genuinely hate that I sold it. Guy wrecked it less than 30 days later. Mine was FBO aside from headers and had rays on it, plenum spacers were very beneficial for the intake and the high flow cats/coupe rear diff. Really brought the car alive. It would run low 14s and nearly high 13s all day long. If I went back to owning an Infiniti it would be the Q50/60 easy.

So far I've owned
A built 98 eagle talon(would blow the doors off my Camaro)
2006 G35(best cruise car I have owned)
2004 350z touring
And now the Camaro.

I gotta admit, the only reason I got the Camaro was because I couldn't afford a 2008+ C6 at the time. But part of me thinks if I let this one go the prices will go through the roof and I'll never have one again. I have my limits on what I'll pay for toys anymore.

There’s nothing out there with 1000hp I can afford, so Khaleesi stays until I die. Then my son in law wants her.

I have a few thoughts on this, and what the hey, I'll ramble for a bit:
1. Given the line of work I'm in (The spouse and I run an assisted living facility), I think you'll probably discover that a lot of equipment will come back available at some point, and possibly at fire sale prices, simply because a lot of folks who were responsible for sending prices through the roof...and suicidally sticking with "I know what I have!" in spite of driving younger generations away...will have simply aged out of existence. Hagerty's CEO has even written about this phenomenon, hey, quit going insane with pricing, because the generations to come after you will stop caring...which is actually happening.

This isn't meant to be rude to anyone here, it's simply...observations of human behavior across several different paths.

2. A lot of the prices that are out there here of late...just keep an eye on them, it's kinda weird, because, well, there's a lot of cars out there which are priced out of the stratosphere, and it's rare to see one sell. I was actually in the market for a 2005-2009 Mustang GT (preferably a Bullitt, I'd love a 2007 Miller Cup FR500S, or even a regular GT would do, as I think that the GT500's are ridiculous), but saw that even high-mile GT's were almost all starting out at $13K-$14K, and noted that only the occasional car was selling, and the rest were simply collecting dust on lots and in palatial garages. And yes, I've got limits as well concerning what I'll spend, as I can't justify spending an insane amount of money on something that might be overpriced by half or even double (I'm doing okay financially, but there's no way I'll spend more than $15K in total for a toy).

The 2010 in my sig? Practically fell in my lap (50K miles, in pretty damn good shape, and I'm not going to tell you what I paid for it, as nobody will believe me...I actually tried to pay more for the car).

If I hadn't found the Camaro, I'd still be goofing off with the G35, complaining about how I don't fit in it (I really don't) as I found this Infiniti for $7800, which is hilarious because other similar examples were double the price, and I was the only one to have contacted the owner of the G35 for the five months he had it listed...all the other G35's and G37's I was looking at are still available months later. So to that end, what exactly is driving the lottery sale pricing we're all seeing?

3. If you're actually happy with the Camaro, and are not just keeping it because, well, it's paid for...simply keep the thing for now, because the Camaro is disappearing in favor of...gasp...battery power, never mind we don't have the raw materials to convert over entirely to EV cars, and when these go, I don't know if Chevrolet will ever make the traditional ICE Camaro again, which may indeed drive prices up.
Otherwise, I'd take the $15K and search for a good Infiniti.

4. I don't know if I'd go crazy for a Corvette C6. The SS Camaro is already sorta Zero-to-Felony quick/fast for practically every public road in America.

Do you need...even faster/quicker? I do know a considerable amount of people who are jettisoning fast/quick cars for...Subaru/Toyota BRZ/FRS/86's, or even Boxster/Cayman S's, simply because they're tired of tickets, or at least the fear of them. A neighbor even shitcanned a nasty current Charger in favor of a BRZ, he's now wondering why he even bothered with buying the Dodge, as he's having a hell of a lot more fun with the...ugh...Subaru.

I can't use a SS where I'm located, there aren't any roads that allow for unlimited breathing room (the place is sort swarming with cops), and even my stock LLT V6/auto is almost too snappy for the mountainous twisties around here. I'm going to focus on a few engine bolt ons, redo some suspension bits and brakes...and that's about all I'm going to do with it, as the only place I can use V8 power is at a nearby road course/track day.

Something to think about.

Really makes me want to start considering other options for the money since the only V8 GM I've owned is a Silverado and my 2010. Was looking at C5, c6, 6th Gen Camaro, and even some Infiniti Q50/60 red sports.

How much am I gonna hate myself if I follow through with this?

Clutch pic for your enjoyment and totally unrelated.
I have been think about this too and I think I found my answer last Saturday.

My GF had not ridden in the Camaro since it was put away last November.

She said I forgot how good this car is... the way it handles rides how solid it is with no rattles or squeaks

She said it was incredible for a car thats 14 years old

Then the clincher...while out for a cruise we seen Vettes everywhere all Gens even a Gen 2.

It just seems like everyone has them but I did not see any other 5th Gens in my travels that day.

When we stopped to eat lunch on a picnic table along the Niagara Parkway we got a big honk and a wave from a sweet 97 Camaro SS Anniversary Edition white with orange stripes.

I think I am keeping mine until I die

(BTW I had not spoken to the GF about moving on)

Ramble on. I don't generally talk to anyone about my vehicles anymore, the wife is too burnt out on hearing it and my operators and drivers are all 20+ years older than I am. Cars are not their thing. I shopped for close to 9 months before I bought my 2010. I originally was looking for a 300zx as I missed my Nissan(they are fun slow toys) and we agreed on a small budget. That soon turned into wanting a c5 or c6, as I was shopping I was watching their prices climb. Common sense told me the Camaro would be easier to work on with the same engine/transmission as an 08+ vette, so the first black 2SS I found I jumped on. I'd never bought from a dealer a before and this was a huge lesson in stupid tax.

I had also looked at the BRZs, 300zx, G35 coupe, the 370z, and even an Audi s4. I got to the point that I really couldn't make my mind up but I knew I wanted the GM rumble. Doing an LS swap was a thought for some of them until I saw the prices from LOJ. I knew I did NEED anything fast, but other than my built and unreliable DSM, I'd never owned anything really fast. The Camaro is more than fast enough, we actually have no plans to change it from stock other than an intake and newer exhaust. Since I almost never see the track here in Ohio and I honestly drive like an old man anymore it's been eating at me if I NEED the Camaro. Last night I caught myself looking at Q50 RS 400s lol. Probably don't need that either but at least it has 4 doors and is AWD.

In my gut I think I know I jumped the gun on buying, but at the time prices were starting to skyrocket and the cars originally in my budget were quickly not anymore. Now I'm questioning if I sell now, will I hate myself next year when the value of these may potentially jump due to GM going EV(I won't even get started on that and infrastructure). It's nice just to rant about this though, been eating at me all winter.

i still regret selling my 1966 pontiac tempest hot rod.had it 25 years, wound up as a modded 400 ci,turbo 400,headers and duals.noisy as hell, wouldnt corner or stop and 8 mpg on 93 octane, but it was a fun car and there werent many around.drove it daily, for work,on vacation and weekend car shows.my 5th gen reminds me of it in a lot of ways, but its better in every way.

No urge to sell, just to buy. Debating on another Camaro or the new C8 or a C7. So hard to decide because I'm gonna drive it I just don't know which car would be a track day and a drag day set up. Tough decision to make.

Cried driving my 2010 to trade for a 2017 2SS. Smiled all the way home (3 hr drive). Traded the '14 for a Tacoma. Shrugged all the way home. Second guessed myself when I drove to trade the SS in towards a used ZL1... smiled all the way home (15 min drive).

So far the only car I've really regretted letting go was my '87 IROC 6 years ago.

I don't know that I see prices spiking. I do have a feeling they'll be intentionally rendered more and more expensive to operate in an effort to remove them from the roads without outright banning them. But who knows.

Enjoy em while you can!

I would love to get a C7 but the closer I get to retirement, the more I need to whittle down my wants. In the ideal world, I would have my 2015 vert, a C7 Stingray, 2014 or 15 Z/28 and a 57 Chev Bel Air (ok and probably a little truck for hauling stuff) in my garage but I just don't think my retirement income will be able to support all that plus the traveling I want to do.

Nope, no urge at all!! This Camaro is a dream come true for me from my childhood days when I build tons of those models cars and cutomized them with pieces from other car model kits to make them how I wanted them to look. They usually turned out pretty cool. But in my mind the thought was planted there that ONE day when my adult life all came together I was going to buy something nice to customize and make MY own. And here she is, my Badnasty Ruby!! All the years, 12 of them since she was new and all the TLC and elbow grease and blood and tears I put into creating her is every car guys dream come true! So this beautiful Camaro is staying in my carport until I leave this planet, then my boys get her.

I wound up driving mine to work today. Didn't want to since I hadn't gotten the new clutch in yet(I think it's actually boiled brake fluid and not the clutch), but someone decided to rip our license plates off the wife's car at some point yesterday so I had no choice. She had the truck and couldn't carpool.

Everytime I drive it, I want to keep it. When it sits, I want it gone. Kind of a love/hate situation. There is so much I want to do to it(axles, diff, Tick trans, engine bits, wheels, etc) but at the same time I feel like getting out while I can and going to something else. I'm 33 and already struggling to get in and out of it due to some old injuries. In an ideal world I would go ahead and pick up another vehicle and have both, but lord I don't want to spend that kind of cash lol. Rather start investing in real estate.
