This is the first time I've heard someone say manual starters are illegal. No, they're not. Up here in the Great White North if you call around for a remote car starter, it's assumed you have a manual transmission.

Just make sure it's wired properly and you won't have any issues.

It is illegal to install remote starts in manuals that do not have a neutral safety wire, I don't know if the camaros have one, but I doubt it, since they didn't offer it in the manuals from the factory. My old roommate used to do car audio/alarm installs, he is the one that explained this to me. Some cars have neutral safety wires, I believe it depends on the transmission in the car. In short, you will not be able to get one installed on the camaro....not legally
