Did you buy at $53? I was looking at NVidia since 2008 and never bought, I feel stupid. Probably too late?

I bought @ $186.75 back in 2020. After the 15 way splits my buy-in value is equivalent to $12.45 today, vs Friday’s close at $142.62. I don’t have as many shares as AllisoBob, but I have enough to make me smile. Most of my holdings are in Tesla. Bought that at the same time in 2020 for the equivalent of $31.49. Friday it closed at $406.58. It’s actually been as high as $480 this year. Probably shoulda sold then.

I need to go look at how long I've had it. Been thinking my Financial Advisor would be selling at some point but still have it so good on him.

Edit: I had to go look. Nov 2023 right as it started to get hot. Bought in at $42

NVDA is a great strategic stock. Their chips are the main chips used in game systems and also in anything that even smells like autonomous driving. With all that is happening on that front NVDA is in a great growth position so I’m not surprised your FA hasn’t sold yet.

I'm just waiting to see what happens 1/31 with the CVX 4th qtr earnings announcement.

Did I go buy a 2025 3LT Stingray yesterday? Nope, I bought 1300 shares of NVDA.

These 1300 shares from March have risen $37 a share as of today.

A $48,000 gain.

Go NVDA!!

Well, I know this is a gearhead website not really focused on investing, but I thought more of you would have your own personal investing success story to share,,,,

I bought more NVDA all the way down thru March and back up into May.

And today is a all time high.

I hope some of you went along for the ride, even if you were in the shadows.....

I missed a real opportunity yesterday.I was going to offload the rest of my TSLA and roll it into NVDA. But I got stuck meeting with a client and by the time I could pull the trigger, TSLA was dropping and NVDA was climbing. Oh well. Will wait for the next opportunity. In any event, my TSLA is up 1007% from my acquisition price and my NVDA is up just under 1000%. First world problem to be sure.

This is my 4th block of NVDA stock, my best performing one. Purchased in Nov of 2018. I have 12 other blocks, and with todays record close, I've never lost a dime in this position, over 7 years. I cant say that about any of my other investments!!!!

Todays gain was $6.41 a share, on a per share price of $3.71 share. Almost a 180% gain, in a single trading day on this block.

Great job Martin..... sorry to hear about your stumble yesterday.

Martin, here's something to look at. SOXL. It's a 3X leveraged Digi Chip stock with huge exposure to all this "Data Center" hype, pushing the market higher.

I've doubled my money, in only a few months..... It's very volatile, but if your a seasoned investor, it's something to look at....

It's holding's, are the cream of the crop.

NVDA year to date is up 18%.

Did you buy in back in Jan? Your timing was pretty good if you did.

The S&P 500 is only up 6% YTD

NASDAQ is up 7.5%
