Not married yet. Just saying when I do reach that point she (whoever she is) won't be getting just me but the Camaro as well. It's a 2'fer.

I'm not saying she'll get to drive it. I'm just saying she'll have to accept my attachment to the car and that I'd like to keep it for life.

I don't want to be negative to GMAC they have helped a lot of people. But when you can control you own credit you get the power to shape your future and get the good rates. If they can give you a fair market rate then stay with them on a loan.

Otherwise personal empowerment is when you get pre approved. Don't settle for colors or options you don't want. Never sign anything unless your gonna close the deal. Read every word of what you sign never rush.

The only thing I don't like about no more leases is that this is a way of selling more units, as it expands the people that are willing to buy the car. It won't affect me but I would hate to think the car will not sell as well as it could because GMAC lost a lot of money on SUV's. I don't see why they can't just limit the leasing in the future to cars to help them move as many as possible. After all, to a lot of people monthly payment is the only thing that matters and you will lose sales to people that compare two similar priced cars and just look at the monthly payment to make the choice.

It's not just GMAC, it's all the automotive banks including BMW FS.

First let me say that I have never leased, but it's something I would have considered seriously in the future.

It's very easy why someone would lease instead of buy. Many people, like myself, don't keep a vehicle over 3 or 4 years. I've had car payments every month of my life since I was 18 (I turned 34 today). Despite the fact that I've 'purchased' my vehicles I've only actually paid one off. And that one I traded in a month after paying for it.

Every other car I've kept 3 or 4 years. So essentially I've 'leased' them from the bank that picked up the loan.

Unless you plan to keep the car a signifigant amount of time, leasing makes more sense.

^ It's all about doing what works for you financially. Whatever makes the most financial "cents".

Happy B-day Ellwyn!

I think this is about the last... chance to get a car like this.

With oil.., volts, prius, etc. This needs to be the car you keep. Because your next will have an extension cable.
