OP, the top quote is referring to, why choose to not mod your car for the sake of someone else. When my car gets here, if want a s/c, I will put one on. I won't mod my car because people want them original when I sell it in 50 years doesn't make sense to me.

If you are planning on keeping 4 or 5 years then selling it, then i would only do mods that can be put back to stock.

The only way I might get rid of mine is if the SuperCharged Z-28 comes out, then I will trade mine in for it if I like it better.

I'm keeping mine. It will be my second car and I will probably hand it over to my son on his 18th birthday. That is if I ever have a son.

Ah but not if you care for it, the way I care for my cars. In 20 years my Camaro will probably have about 70k miles. If not less.

I've been wondering how some of you can start pulling interior apart, splicing wires, cutting holes in dashes.... etc. Like my 69 SS/RS, people wanna see them stock.

I can live without the "finished" ambient lights until GM come up with a final design. I only plan on maybe changing the intake and exhaust and that is it.
I'm oldschool I guess, I like it the way it was made by King GM.

I am in no way flogging the way people are making a Camaro their own, I like being different, thats why I got the ground effects on my Orange camaro on the car, not painted.
I'm right there with ya. Any minor changes I may make, I plan on keeping all original parts so it can be converted back to original.

I am doing some mods on mine... mostly things that can be turned back to stock. I'm keeping all my stock parts too. And I am not doing any BS that looks bad or crappy... all clean work

My plan is to keep mine forever and I don't plan on doing anything major to it. But, if I see something I like, I'll do it. It's my car. If the person who someday might consider buying it doesn't like it, I don't think I'll care!

I am keeping mine forever too. I also am going to leave it box stock except for a CAI. I learned from my motorcycles to never do any mods that I can not undo. When I modify my motorcycles, I save all of the stock parts so that I can bring it back to factory specs. You never know what the government might have in store such as new exhaust regs or new emmissions testing. I bought mine for the enjoyment of driving it and making occassional drag strip runs. I am expecting years of service from it.

I won't be modding mine, at least until my warrantee is up. After that, I'd consider it.

I am going to do the same as you. Only GM parts. That is what I did with my Harley except for the exhaust and I can go back to stock in 15 minutes if need be.
