Okay.. I just went outside and jacked up the front right side of the car and easily got under the car and attached the harness. If you scoot in from the front of the car you will see the harness you are looking for right in front of the plastic wheel well covering, no removal of tire necessary like the instructions say.

Anyway i attached the cable and If you have the AAC halos on your headlights and fogs like I do it does not look good with everything on at night. Before my headlights would be on and my fog halos, which were a nice accent. Now, if the fogs are always on the fog halos arent noticable. So i removed the harness attachment.

here are my night pics, its the best i could do: the first pic is headlights and the second is auto mode

Quickest way to install is to turn the wheels full locked to the left. Remove the 3 screws on the wheel well liner with a torx bit/screwdriver. Pull the wheel well liner back reach in and disconnect the stock connection. Install the harness(make sure you feel the connector click in and do a pull test) and reinstall the liner. It well only take a few minutes.

by jacking up the tire it took less than 1 minute to install. DO NOT remove the wheel well liner there is no need. if you jack it up and get under the car it is clear as day to see without removing anything.. you dont even need to turn your wheels haha

I finally got a reply from the manufacturer about the diode question. Here is what they said:

"Hello, yes there is a diode on each side (two) to prevent backfeed to the
PCM
"

There are 2 threads about this topic, so I posted this info in both threads because it was information several people wanted.

#PI0030: Aftermarket Modification to Operate Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) with Park or Headlamps On - (Feb 11, 2010)

Subject: Aftermarket Modification to Operate Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) With Park or Headlamps On

Models: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Equipped with Rally Sport Package (RPO WRS) and High Intensity Discharge (HID) Headlamps (RPO T4F)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
Some dealers may report a concern with the operation of the daytime running lamps (DRL) on vehicles equipped with HID headlamps and DRL utilizing the fog lamps.

Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering is currently investigating this concern.

The normal function of the DRL system will turn on the dedicated DRL lights when the following conditions are met:

• The ignition is in the ON/RUN position.

• The exterior lamps control is in AUTO or has been briefly turned to OFF to turn the automatic light control on again.

• The engine is running.

When the DRL are on, the headlamps, tail lamps, sidemarker, instrument panel and other lamps will not be on.

The headlamps will automatically come on when changing from the dedicated DRL to the headlamps depending on the darkness of the surroundings. The other lamps that come on with the headlamps will also come on.

If you find that the DRL are operational with the lamp switch manually turned in the park or headlamp on position, the vehicle's wire harness may have been modified. If the vehicle has been modified, any repair work performed on the DRL system is non-warrantable. This includes the DRL bulbs.

If something happens, just take the harness off before you take it in to be fixed.
