So if you tear your ACL is your dad going to sell it?

Im 22, ill be graduating college in a few months. and my dad will be co-signing with me on a new camaro. he has a golden credit score, so i can get a good financing rate. I will be making the payments for it though.

And also i will be keeping my insurance on my dads plan, but will pay him for it.

Currently my insurance is around $400 every 6 months. i think...i dont wanna know what it will be when i get the camaro.

on a 2lt rs

are you guys being listed as the main driver of the car??? or lying and only being listed as a driver?
Have you weighed out all your options? I went and checked at mutilple companies and Progressive was my best one. StateFarm wanted 200+/mo. AllState same. Progressive, same policy as the others and got $105/mo.

1LT/RS with sunroof, CnC, Auto

I'm 16 and I'm praying and hoping that I get one. If I do, my dad will just shuffle around the insurance. My brother drives a mustang, my dad a bmw, and my mom drives a cadillac esv. So he will have me and my bro driving my parents cars and they will be insured as driving the mustang and the camaro (hopefully) so that the insurance is much cheaper. Good luck on getting one! If you do... post pics!

Ok first off the question is not as simple as "what do you pay per month". Keep in mind there are varying levels of coverage. I am 22, on my own insurance paying for my 2LT on my own with a $10,000 down payment and I pay about $219 a month through Allstate. Now with that said I have very very good coverage, including new car protection. Yes you can get a cheaper rate if you dumb down your coverage but lets be honest...you are 17 and driving a Camaro...you are going to want good coverage...i'm not saying...i'm just saying. I will tell you one thing, if you get an SS you better be prepared to for the insurance company to have their way with you.

My best possible suggestion is this. Find out who your parents have their insurance through. Some companies (Allstate used to be this way, not sure if they are anymore) have a policy where each driver is rated on a particular vehicle BUT you can drive any car on the policy. That saved my ass when I was 17 and had my Mustang because we put it on my parents insurance but had my dad rated on the Mustang while I was rated on the Scion XB so I ended up paying like $100 a month.

One last piece of advice...just do yourself a favor and stay away from places like Safe Auto. Don't sacrifice insurance to save money because it will seriously bite you in the ass if you ever get in an accident.

23 years old - $660 over 6 months on a 2LT. My family has one big plan, 4 cars on it, and I just write my dad a check every 6 months. Yeah, my insurance is not in my name - but whatever. I pay it, I pay the car payments, it's my car. Anyone who wants to say anything to me can stick it, I've worked my a$$ off for this car.

, if you can save money by having your plan on your parents, why not!
