I always told my wife that I couldn't own a Camaro, Mustang or Challenger for the simple reason that if i couldn't afford the V8 I wouldn't want one. Reason being because the first thing anyone will ask you when you show them the car is "oh man, does that have the V8" to which I would have to answer "NO, it's got the V6" as i hang my head in shame. BUT...then I drove the V6 Camaro just for shits and giggles and WOW was i impressed. I fell in love with the car and couldn't believe the power they were getting out of it. So now I own one Being married since I was 19 and having kids, I've owned new cars before but this is the nicest car I've owned. Did I say I love it?
anyway, I get the same question about the V8 and i tell them no, this is the V6. but then I go on to inform them that it has 304HP, goes 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and is electronicaly governed at 155mph, thats when most people say something along the lines of "WOW, thats impressive".
I have no regrets at all about my V6

Now that's badass....I have 4.10s with a tremec 5spd in my '67 Camaro....I bet that extra overdrive is nice for cruzin even with those 4.10s

So if you take a really good looking GF to a party does everyone say.............

Is that the hot one or " just " the base model?

I dont know. 350Z's are wimps. Nissan has one fast car and thats the Skyline (GTR if you want to get technical) Ive driven my buddy's 350Z and wasnt impressed. Looks fast on the outside. Runs good, but not fast. My neighbor has a V6 Cadi CTS (ive never driven that one) and its neck and neck the times he's screwed around with the 350Z when we've gone to the track.. Ive never driven a V6 camaro but I would imagine it runs as good (if not better) than a CTS.

More than those who are 16 and have an SS. Met a sweet kid who is 16 and has an SS. I playfully hit him on the arm and called him "spoiled a$$". But I didn't do it in meaness and he just smiled. Cute kid (oh wait he is a member here)

But yes there are not many 18 yr olds who can get an SS. When I was 18 I had a boat:(:( (but it was smooooth driving) lol

Forgot to mention that I do get asked the "V-8" question quite often along with "is it a 6-speed" and "how fast have you ran it"?

Jeesh, there are some sensitive farts here. People ask a question because they are CURIOUS. It is not obvious to 99% of the people if its a v6 or v8, so they ask. Enlighten them about the mail slot and v8's, and stop getting your panties in a bunch.

Easy answer: "No - it's the V6 with over 300hp... how much horsepower does your minivan have?"

I've been asked and I just say, "its the most advanced engine and transmission on the market. A direct transplant from the Cadillac CTS." Funny this V6 has the same HP as my 2001 Z-28. Who would of thunk it???
