im in missouri and all i did was use a couple anchor screw things and attached through the lower valance grille. works like a charm.

there is a thread on here about the way i did it, not sure of the OP though.

Picture of my front plate in the stowed position. Yes, had to drill holes but it's on the bottom side and if I ever take it off, you won't be able to see them.

Went to a Corvette rally/show yesterday, I asked a member about a front plate, his response was, "you wont find a corvette here with a front plate!"

BTW: He is my father, also retired CHP (California Highway Patrol)!

West LA Meter Maids love to write no front plate

citations . Saw a Lambo getting one yesterday. I live in an affluent part of LA near the beach and the meter maids, for the most part, don't have that luxury. Their revenge is the most aggressice ticket writing in the history of automobiles. The folks where I live are very self centered and self important and I love seeing them plead with the MMs when they are being ticketed for whatever\

Thumbs down

In my part of NY every new car on the dealer lots that have a attachable front plate bracket for the front is already mounted. it does not matter if it is a Camaro or a Vette. I personally would not mind the front plate mount if it attached to the lower grille insert like the way the Pontiac solstice did, you can take the solstice's plate bracket off and you can NEVER tell it was ever there! I also heard from a friend of mine that if you order a new Camaro and tell them to NOT put on the front plate mount they will do it anyway as they told my friend it is STATE LAW and cannot leave the dealership unless it is drilled and mounted to the front of the cars .

Im in Texas, which requires a front plate aswell, but i dont have one on my car, my car didnt even come with the bracket in the trunk. Ive had my car since late Feb of this year, passed a many of cops, without issue. My sister's neighbor got pulled over for it in his new camaro, but they didnt give him a ticket, he said he wasnt going to drill holes in his Camaro. Just all depends if you come across a cop that wants to be an azz that day, or not. Frankly, if i was a cop, i wouldnt risk my life pulling over somebody for no front plate, when i can easily run the back one, and check it out..

put it in the windshield with suction cups if you're worried about it. Not sure if that cuts it there but it does here. Also, even if its not good enough it looks like you were at least trying to follow the rules if you get pulled over. As a side note though, I've had my car about 4 years, never even seen it with a front plate and never been pulled over for it. I did get hit with it as a secondary offense once, but that cop was being a total dickbag walking around my car LOOKING for other shit to hit me with. The other 6 cops that have pulled me over didn't say a word about it. It really just depends on your area if the cops give a crap or not.
